국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 고흥군 영남면 우천리 동측 해안의 지형 및 지질 요소의 특징이 초·중·고등학교 과학과 교육과정의 지질 단원 내용과 관련성이 있는지를 탐색하고 이 지역이 야외 지질 학습 장소로서 적합성을 지니는지를 분석하는 것이다. 분석 대상은 2022 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 과학, 중학교 과학, 고등학교 통합과학1, 통합과학2, 지구과학 과목과 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 지구과학Ⅰ, 지구과학Ⅱ과목의 교과서와 성취기준으로 선정하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 지역에는 암석에 해당하는 역암, 지질 구조에 해당하는 절리, 단층, 그루브, 하도구조, 지형에 해당하는 해식동굴, 해식애와 파식대지 등 다양한 지형 및 지질 요소가 분포하고 있다. 둘째, 연구 지역의 지형과 지질 요소는 초등학교 및 고등학교 과학과 교육과정에서 다루는 지질 단원 내용과 관련성이 있으며, 야외 지질 학습 장소로 충분히 활용할 수 있다. 야외 지질 학습의 효과적 운영을 위해 교사 연수를 확대하여 교육 효과를 높일 필요가 있는 점, AR·VR 기술을 활용한 보조적인 학습 콘텐츠 개발을 고려하고 다른 지역과의 연계성 분석도 지속해서 검토해야 하는 점을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore whether the features of the topography and geological elements of the eastern shore of Ucheon-ri, Yeongnam-myeon, Goheung-gun are related to the content of the geology unit of the K-12 science curriculum and to analyze the suitability of this area as an outdoor geology learning site. The analysis subjects were selected as textbooks and achievement standards for elementary school science, middle school science, high school integrated science 1, integrated science 2, and earth science under the 2022 revised curriculum, and high school earth science I and earth science II under the 2015 revised curriculum. The research results are as follows. First, the study area contains various geological and topographical elements such as conglomerate, joints, faults, grooves, and channel, as well as sea caves, wave-cut cliffs, and wave-cut platforms. Second, the topographical and geological features of the study area are relevant to the geological units covered in the elementary and high school science curricula and can be effectively utilized as outdoor geological learning sites. The study recommended expanding teacher training to enhance educational outcomes, considering the development of supplementary learning content utilizing AR/VR technology, and continuing to analyze connectivity with other regions to effectively operate outdoor geological learning programs.
