청소년의 사회적 성취목표 잠재프로파일에 따른 부모양육태도와 학교생활적응의 차이

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 청소년의 사회적 성취목표에 따른 잠재프로파일 유형을 분석하여 부모양육태도와 학교생활적응의 차이를 확인하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 2개 광역시에 소재한 초등학교 6학년 및 중학교 재학생 408명을 대상으로 사회적 성취목표, 부모양육태도, 학교생활적응에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 잠재프로파일 분석(LPA)을 통해 분석되었으며, 도출된 집단 간 차이검증을 위해 일원배치분산분석(One-way ANOVA)을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 청소년의 사회적 성취목표는 숙달목표가 높고, 접근목표 중간, 회피목표가 낮은 특성을 지닌 ‘숙달집중-회피억제형’, 숙달목표에만 집중된 특성을 지닌 ‘단일숙달지향형’, 모든 목표가 중간 수준으로 균형잡힌 특성을 지닌 ‘중간균형형’, 전반적으로 낮은 동기 수준의 ‘저동기-비숙달형’, 모든 목표에서 높은 수준을 보이는 특성을 지닌 ‘전반적고동기형’의 5개의 특징적인 프로파일로 분류되었다. 특히 주목할 만한 점은 ‘전반적고동기형’과 ‘숙달집중-회피억제형’ 집단이 부모의 긍정적 양육태도를 높게 지각하고 있으며, 학교생활의 전반적인 영역(학습활동, 또래관계, 교사-학생관계, 학교규칙 준수 등)에서 우수한 적응 양상을 보였다는 것이다. 본 연구의 의의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년의 사회적 성취목표를 유형화하여 각 집단의 특성을 실증적으로 확인하였다. 둘째, 성취동기 유형에 따라 청소년의 학교적응 특성과 요구가 상이함을 밝혔다. 셋째, 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 청소년의 성취동기 유형별 맞춤형 교육 및 상담 개입의 방향을 제시하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 교육 현장에서 학생의 사회적 성취목표 유형을 고려한 실제적인 지원 방안 수립에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze latent profile types of adolescents’ social achievement goals and to examine differences in perceived parenting attitudes and school adjustment across profiles. To this end, a questionnaire on social achievement goals, parenting attitudes, and school adjustment was administered to 408 sixth‐grade elementary and middle school students from two metropolitan cities. The collected data were analyzed using latent profile analysis (LPA), and one‐way analysis of variance (One‐Way ANOVA) was conducted to test for differences among the derived groups. The analysis yielded five distinctive profiles: (1) Mastery-Focused & Avoidance-Suppressed, characterized by high mastery goals, moderate approach goals, and low avoidance goals; (2) Mastery-Only, with a singular focus on mastery goals; (3) Intermediate-Balanced, with all goals at moderate levels; (4) Low-Motivation/Non-Mastery, with generally low endorsement across goals; and (5) High-All-Goals, with uniformly high levels on all goal dimensions. Notably, adolescents in the High-All-Goals and Mastery-Focused & Avoidance-Suppressed profiles perceived higher levels of positive parenting attitudes and demonstrated superior adjustment across all school domains (learning activities, peer relationships, teacher–student relationships, and compliance with school norms). This study makes several contributions. First, it empirically identified and typified adolescents’ social achievement goal orientations. Second, it revealed that school adjustment characteristics and needs differ according to achievement motivation profile. Third, based on these results, it suggests directions for tailored educational and counseling interventions according to students’ motivational profiles. These findings are expected to aid practitioners in developing practical support strategies that consider students’ social achievement goal types in educational settings.
