국문 초록

도덕성 교육은 올바른 지식, 신념, 실천을 강조하는 교육으로, 윤리적 사고보다 기술적 숙련에 집중하며 가치 중립적인 지식 전달의 전공 교육만으로는 한계가 있어 교양교육을 통해 보완할 필요가 있다.‘올바름’은 사람마다 다르게 해석할 수 있는 추상적 개념으로 무엇을 의미하는지 분명히 하기 위해 기준이 필요하다. 이때 어떤 행동이 옳은지 그른지를 판달 할 수 있도록 도와주는 기준이 도덕성이다. 도덕성 교육의 필요성을 고찰을 위해 도덕적 판단력과 도덕적 민감성의 키워드를 선택하였다. 본 연구를 위해 최근 20년간(2005-2025 학술연구정보서비스를 통해 도덕적 판단력과 도덕적 민감성 연구의 초록을 텍스트 마이닝 분석 결과, 도덕적 판단력 교육은 유아기의 발달 단계를 중심으로 음악, 전래동화 등 활동 중심의 방법이 사용된 반면, 도덕적 민감성 교육은 주로 간호대학생을 대상으로 과학, 사회적 이슈, 시민성을 중심으로 이루어졌다. 이를 통해 도덕적 판단력 교육이 유아기에 국한되지 않고 대학생에게도 필요하며, 일반 대학 교양교육에서 도덕적 민감성 교육의 강화가 필요함을 시사한다. 궁극적으로 대학은 학생들이 실제 사회 속에서 도덕적 판단력에 이어 도덕적 민감성을 실천할 수 있도록 돕는 방향으로 도덕성 교육을 추진해야 한다.

영문 초록

Moral education emphasizes correct knowledge, belief, and practice, and reveals limitations when relying solely on major-centered education, which often focuses on technical proficiency over ethical reflection and transmits value-neutral knowledge. Since the notion of “rightness” is an abstract concept subject to individual interpretation, a clear standard is required to define what is considered right or wrong. In this context, morality serves as the guiding standard for determining the appropriateness of actions. To examine the necessity of moral education, this study focuses on the two key concepts of moral judgment and moral sensitivity. Using text mining analysis of research abstracts on these topics from the past 20 years (2005–2025) retrieved through the Korean Education and Research Information Service (KERIS), the study found that moral judgment education has mainly targeted early childhood development through activity-based methods such as music and folktales. In contrast, moral sensitivity education has predominantly been applied to nursing students, focusing on science, social issues, and civic engagement. These findings suggest that moral judgment education should not be limited to early childhood but is also essential at the university level. Furthermore, there is a strong need to enhance moral sensitivity education within general liberal arts curricula. Ultimately, universities should promote moral education in a way that enables students to apply both moral judgment and sensitivity in real-world social contexts.
