예비유아교사의 좋은 그림책 이해를 위한 유아문학수업과 연계한 소집단 토의활동의 의미

국문 초록

본 연구는 영유아교사양성과정의 유아문학 수업에서 학생들의 좋은 그림책 이해를 위한 교수·학습방법의 하나로서 소집단 토의활동 운영방법을 모색해 보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 강원도 원주시 G대학교 유아교육과 2학년생 4명을 연구 참여자로 하여 유아문학수업과 연계한 소집단 토의 활동을 진행하였고, 소집단 토의 관찰과 면담 전사본, 연구 참여자 저널, 강의 현장노트, 연구일지, 강의계획서, 회의록 등의 자료를 질적 연구방법으로 수집ㆍ분석 및 해석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 예비유아교사들은 소집단으로 그림책을 함께 보는 감상 활동을 통하여 다양한 관점을 인정하였다. 둘째, 예비유아교사들은 소집단 토의활동을 통하여 그림책과 관련한 객관적 지식을 이해하였다. 셋째, 예비유아교사들은 소집단 토의활동을 통하여 주관적 관점을 형성하였다. 이를 토대로 예비유아교사의 좋은 그림책 이해를 위한 유아문학수업과 연계한 소집단 토의활동은 그림책 이해의 폭을 넓히는 반성적 사고과정을 경험하는 교류와 변화의 의미, 지식정보처리역량을 강화하는 배움과 성장의 의미, 객관적 가치와 주관적 의미를 조화하도록 하는 의미발전과정의 의미가 있다는 결론을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to find out how to operate small group discussion activities as one of the teaching and learning methods for students to understand good picture-books in the early childhood teacher curriculum. For this purpose, we conducted small group discussion activities with young children 's literature classes with 4 students in Grade 2 Early Childhood Education at G University in Gangwon-do. We also collected, analyzed, and interpreted data such as the transcripts of interviews, study participants' journals, lecture notes, lecture plans, and meeting notes. As a result, the pre-service early childhood teachers recognized the various perspectives through appreciation activities of viewing the picture-books with small groups. Second, they understood the objective knowledge related to the picture-books through small group discussion activities. Third, they formed a subjective view through small group discussion activities. Based on this conclusion, the small group discussion activities for students to understand good picture-books in an early childhood teacher curriculum have the meaning of exchange and change through which they experience the reflective thinking process that broadens their understanding of picture-books, as well as the meaning of learning and growth that strengthens their ability to process knowledge information, and the meaning of the development process that harmonizes objective values and subjective meanings.
