국문 초록

본 연구는 성교육 그림책을 활용한 유아 음악극 활동이 유아의 성 관련 이야기 이해력에 미치는 효과를 알아보고, 이를 통하여 유아교육현장에 음악극이 어떻게 효과적으로 활용될 수 있는지 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 경상북도 P시 소재 K, J어린이집의 만 5세 유아 38명(실험집단 19명, 통제집단 19명)을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 실험처치는 실험집단 유아 19명에게는 2016년 11월 7일부터 2017년 2월 8일까지 12주 동안 주 3회 36회의 성교육 그림책을 활용한 음악극 활동을 실시하였고, 통제집단은 누리과정 통합활동을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0프로그램을 이용하여 변인의 차이분석을 위해 공변량분석(ANCOVA)를 실시하였다. 그 결과 실험집단은 이야기 구조이해력과 추론이해력 모두에서 통제집단보다 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 이를 통해 성교육 그림책을 활용한 유아 음악극 활동이 유아의 성 관련 이야기 이해력을 증진시키는 효과적인 활동임을 증명하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to find out how the childhood music drama activities using sex education picture books affect the children's understanding of to stories related to sex. The goal of this study is to provide basic materials on how childhood music drama activities can be applied in early childhood education. In this study, the subjects were 38 children aged 5 years(19 children for the experimental and control groups, respectively). The experimental activities, early childhood music drama activities using sex education picture books, were conducted in the experimental group three times a week for 12 weeks (total 36) from November 7, 2016 to February 8, 2017. At the same time, the control group participated in the Nuri program. After the experiment, the collected materials were used for covariate analysis (Ancova) using the SPSS 21.0 program to inspect the variables in the experiment. As a result, the experimental group showed a significant difference statistically. Understanding and reasoning out the story structure was better in the experimental group than in the control group. With this result, it proves that early childhood music drama activities using sex education picture books are an effective activity that can improve the understanding of stories relevant to sex by children.
