상위인지 전략을 활용한 교수법에 기초한 인성그림책 활동이 유아의 인성발달과 자기조절에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 상위인지 전략을 활용한 교수법에 기초한 인성그림책 읽어주기 활동이 유아의 인성발달과 자기조절에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 J시에 소재한 J유치원의 만5세 유아 실험집단 28명 비교집단 29명이다. 실험집단 유아에게는 상위인지 전략을 활용한 교수법으로 인성그림책 활동을 9주 동안 15회 실시하였다. 연구결과, 상위인지전략을 활용한 교수법으로 인성그림책 활동을 실시한 실험집단의 유아들이 비교집단보다 인성발달과 자기조절능력이 높게 나타나 유의미한 결과를 나타내었다. 이러한 결과로 상위인지 전략을 활용한 교수법은 유아교육현장에서 유아들의 인성교육지도를 위해 활용되어야 할 뿐 아니라, 유아들의 사고발달을 촉진하기 위한 효과적인 교수학습방법의 대안이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study is intended to examine an effect that an activity of reading to young children a character-related picture book based on a teaching method utilizing meta-cognition strategies has on children's self-regulation and character development. Study participants are an experimental group of 28 children and a comparison group of 29 children at the age of 5 in J kindergarten located in J city. Children in the experimental group were in a character-related picture book activity using a teaching method utilizing meta-cognition strategies 15 times for 9 weeks. According to the results of the study, it was shown that a score of character development and self-regulation ability was significantly higher in the children of the experimental group, who were in the character-related picture book activity by the teaching method utilizing the meta-cognition strategies than in the children of the comparison group. These results imply that a teaching method utilizing meta-cognition strategies should not only be utilized for character education and guidance in preschool, but also can become an alternative proposal for a teaching and learning method effective in promoting thinking in young children.
