영유아 교육·보육 만족도 국제 비교 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 부모의 보육만족도를 알아보고, EU 국가들과 비교하여, 우리나라 부모의 보육만족도를 증진시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하기 위해 수행하였다. 연구대상은 만 7세 이하 자녀를 둔 유럽 33개국과 우리나라 부모들이었고, 국가별로 100∼300 여명이 대상이었다. 자료 분석방법으로 먼저, 우리나라의 주요 인구통계학적 변수에 따른 교육·보육 만족도를 t검증, F검증으로 살펴보았다. 다음으로, 국가별 비교를 위해 각 개별 문항 값에 대한 비교와 5개 문항을 통합한 점수 값에 대한 비교를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 우리나라 영유아 부모는 평균값이 10점 만점에 8점 이상으로 어느 정도 교육·보육에 대해 만족하고 있지만, 만족도 수준은 유럽 국가들 중 18위로 중위권으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 우리나라 부모의 교육·보육 만족도를 높이기 위한 재정 투입 방향성을 고민해야 하며, 유럽 국가들처럼 부모의 교육·보육 만족도를 향상시키기 위한 다각적인 노력이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study is to discover Korean parents’ satisfaction with childcare and compare it with that of European countries. Through the results, we tried to find a way to improve the satisfaction of Korean parents with childcare. The subjects of this study were parents from 33 countries in Europe and Korea with children under the age of 7 years. About 100 to 300 people participated in each country. As a data analysis method, first, satisfaction with education and childcare according to major demographic variables in Korea was examined by t-test and F-test. Next, for the country-by-country comparison, each individual item value was compared and the score value integrating five questions was compared. As a result of the study, it was discovered that parents of children in Korea were somewhat satisfied with education and childcare, with an average value of 8 or more out of 10. Compared to European countries, the level of satisfaction in education and childcare for parents of children in Korea was ranked 18th, placing it in the middle. In conclusion, it is necessary to seriously consider the direction of financial input to increase the satisfaction of Korean parents with education and childcare. In addition, as in European countries, various efforts will be needed to improve parents" satisfaction with education and childcare.
