국문 초록

본 연구는 다크투어리즘의 방문객이 경험하는 시공간 인지와 체험요인 및 행동의도, 치유효과 간 인과관계 분석을 통해 방문객의 심리적·정서적 변화에 대해 알아봄으로서 시공간 여행의 이론적 배경에 기여하고자 한다. 이를 위해 제주4·3평화공원 방문객을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 SPSS 24 및 Smart-PLS 4.1.0.9를 통해 실증분석을 시행하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 첫째, 선행변수인 시공간 인지는 다크투어리즘의 교육적, 심미적, 일탈적 체험요인 모두에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교육적 체험요인은 재방문 등의 행동의도에 유의한 영향을 미치며 일탈적 요인은 치유 효과에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 선행변수인 시공간 인지는 교육적 체험요인을 매개로 하여 행동의도에 유의한 간접효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 시공간 인지는 일탈적 체험요인을 매개로 하여 치유효과에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 시공간 인지는 다크투어리즘 방문객으로 하여금 체험의 기반을 형성하는데 중요한 역할을 수행하는 것을 보여주고 있으며 이를 통해 얻는 교육적 가치는 방문객의 만족도와 재방문 등에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 방문객이 일상에서 벗어나 새로운 시간과 공간을 체험하는 일탈적 과정에서 치유의 효과가 있음을 보여주고 있다.

영문 초록

This study investigates the causal relationships among spatiotemporal cognition, experiential factors, behavioral intention, and healing effects in dark tourism. Its aim is to explore visitors' psychological and emotional changes and contribute to the theoretical framework of spatiotemporal travel. a survey was conducted on visitors to Jeju 4·3 Peace Park, and empirical analysis was conducted through SPSS 24 and Smart-PLS 4.1.0.9. The findings are summarized as follows: First, the antecedent variable, spatiotemporal cognition, was found to significantly influence all experiential factors of dark tourism— educational, aesthetic, and escapist experiences. Second, educational experiences significantly affected behavioral intention (e.g., revisit intention), while escapist experiences had a notable impact on healing effects. Third, spatiotemporal cognition exhibited a significant indirect effect on behavioral intention through educational experiences and on healing effects through escapist experiences. These results demonstrate that spatiotemporal cognition plays a critical role in forming the foundation of dark tourism experiences for visitors. The educational value gained from such experiences positively influences visitor satisfaction and revisit intention. Moreover, the escapist process—where visitors break away from their daily routines to experience new time and space—was shown to facilitate psychological healing.
