국문 초록

본 연구는 한라산국립공원의 탐방로 특성이 안전사고 발생에 미치는 영향을 실증적 으로 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 탐방로별 월 방문객 수, 지형 및 환경적 특성, 사고 건수, 기후 데이터 등을 수집하여 음이항 회귀분석과 SHAP(SHapley Additive exPlanations) 분석 기법을 적용하였다. 분석 결과, 탐방로 구간의 길이, 소요 시간, 난이도, 평균 고도, 식수터의 수가 사고 건수에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 평균 고도가 낮고 길이가 짧으며 난이도가 낮은 구간에서 사고 위험이 상대적으로 높았다. SHAP 분석 결과에서도 평균 고도, 구간 길이, 방문객 수가 사고 예측에 가장 높은 기여도를 보였으며, 이는 지형적 위험보다는 탐방객의 안전에 대한 경각심 부족이 사고 발생의 주요 원인일 수 있음을 시사한다. 연구 결과는 향후 고도가 낮고 난이도가 낮은 구간에 대한 안전 홍보 강화, 주요 시설물 재배치, 계절별 관리 인력의 효율적 배치 등 실효성 있는 안전관리 정책 수립에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study empirically analyzed the factors affecting the occurrence of safety accidents based on the characteristics of Hallasan National Park. Negative binomial regression and SHAP (SHapley Additive exPlanations) analysis techniques were applied using data on the number of monthly visitors, topographic and environmental characteristics, number of accidents, and climate data for each trail. As a result, it was found that the length, time required, difficulty, average altitude, and number of drinking water sites of the trail segment had a significant effect on the number of accidents, and the risk of accidents was relatively high, especially in trail segments with low average altitude, short length, and low difficulty. In the SHAP analysis results, the average altitude, length of the trail segment, and number of visitors showed the highest contribution to accident prediction, suggesting that the visitors’ lack of safety awareness may be the main cause of accidents rather than topographic risk. The research results are expected to be used in the future to establish effective safety management policies, such as strengthening safety publicity for low-altitude and low-difficulty trail segments, relocating major facilities, and efficient deployment of seasonal management personnel.
