국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 통합교육에 대한 일반교사의 인식을 살펴보기 위하여 메타포 기법을 통해 의미를 분석함으로써 효과적인 통합교육의 실행 전략에 모색을 위한 기초자료를 얻고자 하였다. 연구방법: 이를 위하여 초등 및 중등 교육기관에 재직 중이며, 통합교육 경험이 있는 일반교사 174명의 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 코딩, 메타포 분류, 범주화, 범주 주제명 부여 등의 절차를 거쳤다. 또한 교차분석을 실시함으로써 일반교사 변인별 메타포에 대한 인식의 차이를 살펴보았다. 연구결과: 첫째, 통합교육에 대한 일반교사의 메타포 의미 범주는 ‘교육의 완전체’, ‘이상과 현실의 괴리’, ‘따로 또 같이’, ‘막막한 나의 마음’의 총 4개의 주제로 도출되었다. 둘째, 일반교사 변인별 메타포 차이를 살펴본 결과, 일반교사의 성별과 연령에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구결과를 토대로 일반교사의 통합교육 실행력 향상을 위한 다각적인 지원 방안에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aimed to obtain basic data for seeking effective implementation strategies for inclusive education by analyzing the meaning through metaphor techniques in order to examine general teachers' perceptions of inclusive education. Method: To this end, data from 174 general teachers working in elementary and secondary educational institutions with inclusive education experience were collected. The collected data went through the process of coding, metaphor classification, categorization, and category subject name assignment. In addition, cross-analysis was conducted to examine differences in general teachers’ perception of metaphors by sociodemographic variables. Results: First, the categories of general teachers’ metaphor meanings for inclusive education were derived from four themes: ‘the completeness of education’, ‘the gap between ideals and reality’, ‘separately yet together’, and ‘my bewildered mind’. Second, as a result of examining the differences in metaphors by general teachers’ variables, statistically significant differences were found depending on the gender and age. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, implications were presented for a multifaceted support plan to improve the inclusive education implementation capabilities of general teachers.
