대학 교양 교육에 대한 교수자와 학습자의 인식 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학의 다양한 전공에 소속된 교수자와 학습자들이 교양 교육에 대해 어떤 인식을 갖고있는지 분석함으로써 교양 교육의 실행에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이에 따라 다양한 전공의교수자 10인, 학습자 10인을 대상으로 교양 교육의 목표, 방법, 교육 실행의 영향 요인 등을 인터뷰하였고, 그 결과 다양한 시사점이 도출되었다. 융합적 사고를 할 수 있도록 하는 학생 역량 강화는 교수자와학습자 모두 동의하는 교양 교육의 중요한 목표로 확인되었다. 다만 교양 교육 실행을 어렵게 하는요소들로 말미암아 교수자는 전공에 비해 교양 교과목 담당을 부담스럽게 여기고, 학생들은 과목 이수의수월성에 집중하는 경향도 확인되었다. 교수자의 교양 강의 여건 개선, 교과목 편성 및 운영 방식개선, 범학문적 교류를 위한 투자 확대 등을 통하여 학생 인식을 개선하고 궁극적으로는 대학 교육의질 향상이 필요하다는 점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to derive implications for the implementation of general education by analyzing the perceptions of professors and students in various majors at universities regarding general education. The interviews with 10 professors and 10 students in various majors on the goals, methods, and influencing factors of liberal arts education yielded various implications. Strengthening students' ability to think in a convergent way was identified as an important goal of general education that both instructors and students agree on. However, due to the factors that make general education difficult to implement, professors find it burdensome to teach general education courses compared to their majors, and students tend to focus on the ease of completing the courses. The discussion focused on the need to improve student awareness and ultimately the quality of university education by improving the conditions for general education lectures by professors, improving the organization and operation of courses, and increasing investment in interdisciplinary exchanges.
