국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 튀르키예 한국어 전공자들의 드라마 역번역 활동을 통해 나타난 한·튀 언어문화의 차이 인식에 대해 고찰하고, 언어문화 학습을 위한 교육 방안으로서 드라마 역번역 활동에 대한 효용성을 확인하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법: 본 연구는 한국어 전공생 4학년 32명의 한국 드라마 역변역 활동 수업에 관한 것이며, 학습자들의 순번역문, 역번역문, 비교·검토문을 분석하여 기술하였다. 결과: 한·튀 언어문화의 차이로는 먼저, ‘오빠, 걔, 양반, 칼퇴’와 같은 튀르키예어와 다른 문화 어구가 발견되었다. 언어 소통방식의 차이로는, 한국어는 튀르키예어에 비해 종결어미로서 화자의 감정 및 태도를 나타내는 양태표현이 다양하며, 매우 민감한 높임법을 사용하고, 한국어의 고맥락 의사소통 수준이 튀르키예어보다 더 높다는 점이 발견되었다. 결론: 드라마 역번역 활동을 통해 학습자들이 양국의 언어문화 차이를 스스로 발견할 수 있었으며, 발견된 차이는 튀르키예인 대상 언어문화 교육에 있어 보다 실제성 있는 자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aims to examine the awareness of the differences between Korean and Turkish language cultures that emerge through reverse translation activities conducted by students majoring in Korean Language in Türkiye. It also aims to assess the effectiveness of reverse translation activities as an educational method for learning language and culture. Method: In this study, 32 fourth-year students majoring in the Department of Korean Language and Literature were asked to perform reverse translation in a Korean language course using dramas that clearly reflect Korean language culture. The students’ sequential translations, reverse translations, and comparison/review texts were analyzed. Results: The difference between Korean and Turkish language culture is the discovery of cultural phrases such as ‘오빠, 걔, 양반, 칼퇴’. In terms of communication styles, Korean is more varied than Turkish in expressing the speaker’s emotions and attitudes through sentence-ending forms and employs a more nuanced system of honorifics. Additionally, compared to Turkish Korean exhibits an even higher level of ‘high-context’ communication, as it allows for the easy omission of subject components in sentences. Conclusion: Through the reverse translation activities with dramas, Turkish learners were able to actively identify the differences between Korean-Turkish language cultures. This is significant because it can serve as a more practical resource/material for Turkish students’ education of language culture.
