장애 유아의 초등학교 전이 기술에 대한 유아교사와 초등교사의 인식 수준 비교

국문 초록

유아교육 기관에서 초등학교로의 전이는 장애 유아와 그 가족에게 새로운 환경에의 적응이라는 측면에서 어려움을 초래한다. 이를 지원하기 위해서 유아교육기관과 초등학교에서의 연계 프로그램이 중요시되는데, 프로그램 구성의 주체자인 교사들의 인식이 중요한 요소로 부각되고 있다. 본 연구는 만 5세반 연령을 담당하고 있거나 경험이 있는 어린이집, 유치원의 유아교사 200명과 초등학교에서 1학년을 담당하고 있거나 경험이 있는 초등교사 130명을 대상으로 초등학교 전이 시 성공적인 학교 적응에 우선시 되어야 할 기술 영역의 범주, 영역별 인식과 배경 변인을 알아보았다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교사와 초등교사는 기술범주 영역 중 기본생활기술이 학업수행기술보다 중요기술로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전체 기술 범위에 대한 중요도에서 유아교사보다 초등교사가 초등전이에 대해 더 중요하게 인식하는 경향을 보였다. 셋째, 유아교사의 인식에 영향을 미치는 배경변인 관련해서 현재 근무기관에서 통합을 하고 있는 유아교사의 경우 초등전이 기술에 대한 중요도가 높았다. 넷째, 초등교사의 인식에 영향을 미치는 배경변인 관련해서 직접적인 통합 운영 경험이 있는 교사가 기본생활기술에 대한 인식이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 토대로, 장애 유아와 그 가족의 초등 전이를 계획하고 실행하는데 고려되어야 할 요건들이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data considered by the teachers who taught or teach 5-year-olds in the kindergartens or those who taught or teach 1st graders in the elementary schools as the important skills for successful school transition and adaptation. Futhermore, this is to analyze the background variables which influence the recognition of teachers on the elementary transition. 200 teachers who work in nurseries and kindergartens and 130 teachers who work in elementary schools in Seoul were participated in the survey on the elementary transition. The data were analyzed by the t-test and one-way ANOVA, and performed Duncan's test as the post-test. The results of this were as followed: first, kindergarten teachers showed the over 3.0 score at the basic life skills, classroom rules, skills for academic performance, and the sociality-communication skills. Among the categories, the basic life skill was regarded as the most necessary as a transition skill in the preschool level. Second, elementary school teachers showed over 3.1 score at the domains of successful adaptation skills for elementary school transition of preschoolers. Among the categories, basic life skill was also regarded as the most necessary as a transition skill in the preschool level. Third, elementary school teachers perceived the necessary skills more sensitively than the kindergarten teachers. The elementary teachers showed the higher recognition at the basic life skills, classroom rules, and skills for academic performance among the categories than the kindergarten teachers, and they showed the no significant difference at the sociality-communication skills. Fourth, the background variable which affected the perception of kindergarten teachers was the kind of the working preschool whether it implement the inclusion or not. Finally, the background variables which affect the perception of elementary school teachers was the experiences worked on the inclusive class in the past. Based on the results, the proposals on the development of programs to strengthen the parents' perception on the basic life skills and also the investigation of methods to reinforce the perception of kindergarten teachers on the elementary school transition were discussed.
