발달장애 학생의 다중지능 유형

국문 초록

이 연구는 D시에 거주하는 발달장애를 가진 초등학생과 중학생을 대상으로 다중지능 발달 특성의 유형을 살펴보고, 이를 통해 다중지능의 발달 유형에 따른 프로그램을 개발하는데 기초자료로 삼고자 수행되었다. 연구 대상자는 정신지체 아동 51명, 자폐성 장애 아동 52명으로 총 103명이었으며, 장애유형별 다중지능 발달점수의 차이비교를 위해서는 일원분산분석을, 군집별 유형을 추출하고 각각의 장애유형별 빈도수를 살펴보기 위해서는 군집분석과 카이제곱 검증이 사용되었다. 연구 결과, 신체지능과 대인관계 지능에서 장애유형별 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 또한 다중지능별 유형 분석에서는 5개의 다중지능 발달유형을 추출하였으며, 연구대상자인 발달장애 아동에서 ‘대인관계-개인이해형’이 가장 많았으며, ‘전반적 저하형’이 다음으로 많았으며, ‘논리-개인이해형’이 가장 적은 것으로 나타났다. 장애유형별 다중지능 발달 유형의 빈도수 차이를 살펴 본 결과, 정신지체와 자폐성장애아동에게서 ‘전반적 저하형’이 각각 28.3%와 38%로 나타났으며, 다음으로 많은 유형은 정신지체 아동에게는 ‘대인관계-개인이해형’과 ‘신체-공간-음악형’이 26.1%로 동일하게 나타났지만 자폐성장애아동에게는 ‘신체-공간-음악형’이 34% 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 발달장애 아동의 다중지능 특성에 대한 논의와 향후 연구의 방향성을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to verify the intellectual characteristics and the developmental types of multiple intelligence of children with developmental disabilities based on multiple intelligence and to make the basic data for program development based on developmental types of multiple intelligence. The subjects were 103 elementary school and middle school students with developmental disabilities(51 mental retardation and 52 autism). t - test was applied to test the research question 1, and cluster analysis by K-Means Cluster and χ2 were applied to test question 2 and 3. The major results of this study were as follows;First, t - test revealed that there were statistical differences of multiple intelligence profiles from the mean of Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence and Interpersonal intelligence. Cluster analysis revealed that among 5 development types of MI, 'overall low intelligence type', was the most frequent, and 'Bodily-spatial and musical intelligence type' was the second, and the lowest type was 'logical-mathematical and intrapersonal intelligence type'. And most of the mental retardation students and autism students belonged to 'Bodily-spatial and musical type'. Implications for future study were discussed.
