장애형제를 둔 아동의 형제관계 및 행복감의 특성

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애형제를 둔 아동과 일반형제를 둔 아동의 형제관계와 행복감 인식 수준을 비교분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 부산광역시, 울산광역시, 경상남도 소재의 초등학교, 중학교, 고등학교 재학생, 총 257명을 대상으로 하였다. 아동의 형제관계 조사에 Furman & Buhrmester(1985)가 제작한 형제관계척도(Sibling Relationship Questionnaire : SRQ)를 박영애(1995)가 번역하고 최정선(2011)의 연구에 사용한 척도를 사용하였고 아동의 행복감 조사는 강영하(2008)가 개발하고 유선진(2011)이 아동의 발달 수준에 맞게 수정·보완하여 사용한 것을 본 연구에서도 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 PASW 18.0을 이용하여 t-test, 이원변량분석으로 통계처리 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 형제의 장애유무에 따른 형제관계 수준의 차이는 없었으며, 형제수준 하위영역별로도 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 그리고 형제관계 수준은 장애유무와 종교에서 상호작용 효과가 나타났다. 둘째, 형제의 장애 유무에 따른 전체 행복감 인식에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었으며, 하위영역별로는 낙관주의와 친구관계에서 일반형제를 둔 아동이 장애형제를 둔 아동보다 유의미하게 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 그리고 행복감 수준은 장애유무와 출생순위, 장애유무와 성별, 장애유무와 종교에서 상호작용 효과가 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는, 형제에 대한 관계 개선과 행복감을 향상시키고 가족에 대한 이해와 가족 중심 치료서비스에 대한 기초자료가 되며, 사회적 지원의 방향을 제시하는데 도움이 될 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the sibling relationships and the perceived level of happiness between the siblings of students with and without disabilities. The study was conducted with 257 students attending elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools located in Busan, Ulsan, and the South Gyeongsang Province. The findings of the study were as follows:First, there were no significant differences in the level of sibling relationships and in the sub-domain of siblings level whether having disabled siblings or not. As well, there was an interaction effect according to disability and religion in the level of sibling relationships. Second, the siblings of students without disabilities showed significantly higher score in the feelings of happiness than the siblings of students with disabilities. Especially, they were significantly higher score in the optimism and friendship than that of the siblings of students with disabilities. As well, there were interaction effects according to disability and birth order, child's gender and religion in the level of happiness. The results based on these findings would improve the sibling relationships and a feeling of happiness, be the baseline data for understanding family members and family-centered care services, and help guide direction of social support.
