청각장애 청소년의 학교생활 경험에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 청각장애 청소년들의 학교생활 경험을 살펴보기 위하여 학교생활을 경험한 청각장애 청소년 4명을 연구참여자로 하여 심층인터뷰를 통해 자료를 수집하였고, Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법을 통하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 의미단위 요약 24개, 하위 구성요소 10개, 구성요소 5개를 발견하였다. 하위 구성요소는 본질을 형성하는 현상의 유형이고, 구성요소는 청각장애 청소년의 학교생활 경험의 본질이다. 구성요소인 청각장애 청소년의 학교생활 경험의 본질은 ‘새로운 곳으로의 진입’, ‘군중 속의 외로운 자신’, ‘나와 함께하는 사람에 대한 인식’, ‘자신에 대한 적절한 교육을 원함’, ‘정체성의 형성’인 것으로 발견하였다. 본 연구는 청각장애 청소년의 학교생활 경험을 탐구하여 당사자 입장에서 그 의미와 구조를 발견하였다는 점에서 의의가 있으며, 이를 통해 청각장애 청소년에 대한 학교교육 및 그 외 다양한 교육적 접근에 있어서 청각장애 청소년 당사자의 관점이 반영될 수 있도록 하는 데 기초자료를 제공하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

In order to examine the experiences of school life for deaf youth, this study analyzed the data collected through an in-depth interviews using the phenomenological study method of Giorgi targeting 4 deaf youths who experienced the school life. Based on the analysis, 24 meaning units, 10 sub-constituents, and 5 constituents were found. A sub-constituent was the types of phenomenon that formed the essence and the constituent was the essence of experience of school life for deaf youth. The essence of experiences of school life for deaf youth was identified as 'entry into a new place', 'being lonely inside the crowd', 'awareness on the people who is with me', 'want proper education for himself' and 'formation of identity.'This study had significance in that it discovered the meaning and the structure of experience of school life for deaf youth in their perspective, and through this, it provided the fundamental data for reflecting the perspective of deaf youths for the school education and other variety of educational approach on the deaf youths.
