영문 초록

Many Korean conjunctive endings have been actively researched to teach to foreigners. However, the ‘-Killay’ ending has not yet been fully researched. Consequently Korean language learners have difficulties learning the ‘-Killay’ ending and make many errors using it in sentences. When Korean learners make grammatical errors, they make morphological, syntax and semantic errors in general. However, with ‘-Killay’, the learners show little difficulties using it morphologically, but many of the errors are due to their not knowing its syntax and semantic usages in general. This study looks first into previous studies about ‘-Killay’ along with explanations in Korean language dictionaries, Korean language grammar dictionaries and Korean language textbooks. Secondly, this study examines the features of ‘-Killay’ in its grammatical and semantic dimensions from the view of its declarative and interrogative features. Finally, this study suggests the teaching method of ‘-Killay’ using a PPP model in Korean language education.
