국문 초록

오늘날 국내 주요 관광목적지를 중심으로 국내여행 관광객이 급증하는 현상을 보이고 있다. 관광목적지의 접근성은 관광활동의 핵심적인 역할을 한다. 이처럼 관광활동에 있어서 관광목적지의 접근성이 중요함에도 불구하고 이를 평가하기 위한 객관적 평가수단과 방법에 대한 국내외 연구는 부족하다. 따라서 본 연구는 관광목적지의 접근성을 객관적으로 측정하기 위한 평가모형을 제시하기 위하여 관광목적지 접근성 지수를 새롭게 정의하였다. 새로 정의한 관광목적지 접근성 지수는 기존에 연구되어 왔던 도로망 접근성을 평가하는 지수에 관광목적지의 매력 특성을 고려한 가중치를 도입하여 적용하였다. 이렇게 정의한 관광목적지 접근성 지수를 적용하여 국내 주요 관광목적지 11곳을 대상으로 평가하였다. 평가결과;두 곳은 비교적 높은 경쟁력을 갖추고 있었고;나머지는 평균미만으로 평가되었다. 평균미만의 관광목적지는 도로망 개선보다는 오히려 관광 매력성 제고에 더욱 집중해야할 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구결과는 관광목적지의 접근성을 객관적 평가가 가능한 방법을 제안함으로써 관광목적지의 발전과 경쟁력 제고 및 관광개발계획의 수립방향을 설정하는 데에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대되며;관광목적지로 관광객을 유인하게 하는 매력성 향상 및 물리적 접근성 개선을 위한 정책담당자나 의사 결정자에게 많은 도움이 될 것이라 판단된다.

영문 초록

Today;domestic tourists visiting major tourist destinations nationwide are rapidly growing;and these phenomena continue to show travel trends all around the country. The accessibility of tourist destinations is the key role of tourism activities. Despite of its importance;there are but few researches on assessment methods in domestic and international. According to these tourism trends;therefore;the researchers newly defined tourist destination accessibility index(TDAI) to present the assessment model for objectively measuring the accessibility of major tourist destinations. Accessibility index;the newly defined tourism destination;was applied by introducing the weighting value considered characteristics of tourists’ destination attractions to (Gamma) index having been assessed the existing road network accessibility based on previous researches. By applying newly developed tourist destination accessibility index;11 domestic major tourist destinations in nationwide were taken assessment in respective. The results showed that 2 destinations were competitive and had a relatively high competitiveness;and the rest were assessed to less than the average.
