국문 초록

기술의 발전과 가치관의 변화로 사람들에게 효율성과 기능성이 더는 공간의 최우선 가치가 되지 못하면서 효율 중심의 도시 공간들은 경험 중심의 체험공간으로 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 하지만 주거공간 대부분을 차지하는 아파트는 아직도 근대 집합 주거 양식의 획일화된 직육면체 그리드로 남아있는 것이 현실이다. 다양한 구조와 조형성을 통해 풍부한 공간적 경험을 제공하는 상업, 문화공간과 비교하면, 기능을 위해 구매한 개별 가구들이 가진 장식적 기호들의 조합으로 연출되는 주거공간은 디자인 측면에서 상대적으로 빈약할 수밖에 없다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 규격화되고 획일화된 주거공간의 조형적 한계를 극복할 방안으로, 회화의 평면적 일루션에 반발하여 화이트큐브라는 고정된 공간 안에서 오브제의 조형성을 공간 전체로 확장하였던 미니멀아트의 오브제 개념을 제시하고자 한다. 미니멀아트의 개념을 적용할 수 있는 볼륨과 구조를 가진 퍼니텍처의 사례 분석을 통하여, 가구가 주거에 필요한 ‘기능적 역할’과 동시에, 공간으로 확장하는 ‘조형적 오브제의 역할’을 수행하는데 요구되는 조형적 특징을 도출한다.

영문 초록

As the efficiency and functionality are no longer important values at spaces for people, by the advancement of technology and changes in values, efficiency-oriented urban spaces are rapidly changing into experience-oriented spaces. However, the apartments, which occupy most of our residential spaces, still remain as a Standardized cuboid grid in the modern collective residential style. Compared to the commercial and cultural spaces which provide a rich spatial experience through various structures and formatives, residential spaces that created by combining the decorative symbols of furniture purchased for functions are relatively poor in terms of design. As a way to overcome the design limitations of standardized flat space, this study present the concept of a minimal art which provided a spatial experience by expanding a minimized object to the entire space. Through the case analysis of a furnitecture that has a functionality along with a volume which the concept of objects can be applied, expression characteristics which can play a 'functional role' necessary for housing, and a 'design role' as a formative object at the same time to overcome the design limitation of residential space will be studied.
