국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 장애인의 일상생활에서 미충족 욕구가 우울에 미치는 영향을 장애 유형별 차이를 중심으로 분석하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 장애인삶 패널조사의 4차년도 데이터 5,003명을 활용하였으며 다중 회귀 분석을 사용하여 연구가설을 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 장애인의 우울과 미충족 욕구는 인구사회학적 특성과 장애 특성에 따라 차이를 보였다. 미충족 욕구가 우울에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 전체 장애인의 경우 학습활동 영역의 미충족 욕구가 우울에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 장애 유형별로는 일상생활 영역에 따라 미충족 욕구가 우울에 미치는 영향에 차이가 있었다. 이러한 조사 결과를 바탕으로 장애인의 일상생활 미충족 욕구를 해소하고, 이들의 우울 수준을 줄이고 예방하기 위한 정책과 실천 영역의 개선 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study examines the impact of unmet needs in daily life on depression among individuals with disabilities, with particular attention to variations by type of disability. Utilizing data from the fourth wave of the Disability and Life Panel Survey, which includes 5,024 respondents, the study employs multiple regression analysis to test the proposed hypotheses. The results indicate that both depression levels and unmet needs vary significantly according to demographic and disability-related characteristics. Moreover, unmet needs in areas such as personal hygiene, grooming, and learning activities were found to have a statistically significant positive association with depression across the full sample. However, the specific domains of daily living in which unmet needs influenced depression differed by disability type. Based on these findings, this study presents policy and practice recommendations aimed at addressing the diverse unmet needs of individuals with disabilities in daily life, with the goal of alleviating depressive symptoms and enhancing overall mental well-being.
