국문 초록

본 연구는 가족상담사의 전문직 정체성을 형성하는 과정에서 기혼 여성 가족상담사가 경험하는 위기와 회복을 내러티브 탐구를 통해 이해하고자 하였다. 연구 참여자는 10년 이상 가족상담을 수행한 3명의 기혼 여성 상담자이다. 자료수집은 참여자당 각 1∼2회의 면담을 통해 이루어졌으며, 자료분석은 Clandinin과 Connelly(2000)가 제시한 절차에 따라 진행되었다. 참여자들의 이야기는 전문직 정체성의 위기 속에서 경험된 좌절과 혼란, 내적 갈등을 보여주며, 동시에 회복과 성장을 향해 나아가는 여정을 담고 있다. 이러한 이야기는 ‘상담의 시작’, ‘정체성의 위기’, ‘회복의 여정’, 그리고 ‘정체성의 재정립’의 흐름 속에 내러티브 방식으로 재구성되었다. 본 연구 결과는 기혼 여성 가족상담사의 전문직 정체성 위기와 회복 경험을 이해하고 직업적 현실을 드러냄으로써 향후 가족상담사의 처우 개선 및 전문성 발달에 도움이 되는 자료로 활용될 수 있기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

Objectives: This study aims to explore the crisis and recovery process experienced by married women family counselors in the formation of their professional identity through narrative inquiry. Methods: .Participants were three married women family counselors with over ten years of experience who had gone through a professional identity crisis and recovery. Data were collected through one to two in-depth interviews per participant and analyzed using the narrative inquiry method by Clandinin and Connelly (2000). Results: The participants’ narratives revealed experiences of frustration, confusion, and internal conflict during moments of identity crisis, as well as journeys toward recovery and renewed growth. Their stories were reconstructed within the narrative flow of beginning counseling, identity crisis, journey of recovery, and redefinition of identity. Conclusions: The findings provide vivid insights into the professional identity crisis and recovery of married female family counselors, highlighting their lived realities. This study offers foundational knowledge that may contribute to improving counselors’ working conditions and serve as a resource for professional development in family counseling
