국문 초록

본 연구는 드라마『폭싹 속았수다』에 등장하는 두 부부, 양관식–오애순, 부상길–박영란의 정서적 상호작용을 중심으로 정서중심 부부치료(EFT: Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy)의 이론을 적용해 갈등과 회복 과정을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 두 부부의 대사와 행동을 실제 상담 현장처럼 축어 전사하고 부정적 상호작용 고리(negative cycle), 일차․이차 정서, 애착 외상, 정서적 재접속 등의 EFT 핵심 개념을 따라 질적 장면 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 드라마 장면 속 정서 표현과 상호작용은 실제 상담 사례와 유사한 구조를 보였으며 정서 인식과 반응의 변화가 부부 관계 회복의 핵심 조건임을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 EFT의 주요 개념을 대중문화 콘텐츠에 적용함으로써 부부상담 실천과 상담자 교육 및 임상 현장에서 활용 가능한 자료로서의 가치를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives: This study aims to analyze the conflict and recovery processes of two couples—Yang Gwan-sik and Oh Ae-soon, and Bu Sang-gil and Park Young-ran—featured in the Korean drama When Life Gives You Tangerines, by applying the theoretical framework of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT), with particular attention to their emotional interactions. Methods: The dialogues and behaviors of the couples were transcribed verbatim to simulate actual counseling sessions. A qualitative scene analysis was conducted based on key EFT concepts such as the negative cycle, primary and secondary emotions, attachment injuries, and emotional re-engagement. Results: The analysis revealed that the emotional expressions and interactions portrayed in the drama closely resemble those found in real-life counseling cases. The findings emphasized that the awareness and transformation of emotional responses are essential for relationship restoration. Conclusions: By applying EFT concepts to a popular cultural narrative, this study highlights the potential of such content to serve as an educational and clinical resource in couple counseling, as well as in counselor training and psychoeducational contexts.
