국문 초록

본 연구는 해결중심상담 2.0의 갤러리 모델을 국내 가족상담에 최초로 적용하여 그 효과를 탐색한 파일럿 연구이다. 가족 갈등을 호소하는 성인 8명을 대상으로 수렴 병행 혼합연구 설계를 통해 2회기 전후 변화를 측정하였다. 모든 종속변수에서 사전 대비 유의한 향상(p < .05)이 관찰되었으며, 큰 효과크기(Cohen’s d = 0.94∼1.17)가 확인되었다. 또한 5개의 핵심 주제가 질적 분석을 통해 도출되었다. 탐색적 파일럿 연구로서, 일반화보다는 초기 가능성에 주목하여 해석할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

Objective: This pilot study examined the initial‑session effects of the Gallery Model—an explanatory metaphorical frame of Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) 2.0 rather than a separate theory—in Korean family counseling. Methods: Eight adults experiencing marital or parent–child conflicts completed two sessions using the Gallery Model. A convergent parallel mixed‑methods design was employed. Quantitative measures were the Adult Dispositional Hope Scale, General Self‑Efficacy Scale, Working Alliance Inventory–Short Form, and Readiness for Therapy Questionnaire. Qualitative data were collected via post‑session interviews and brief session feedback. Results: Pre–post scores improved significantly across all measures (p<.05) with large effects (Cohen’s d) found for working alliance (d=1.17), self‑efficacy (d=1.12), hope (d=1.02), and readiness for therapy (d=0.94). Five qualitative themes emerged: expressing hope, rediscovering strengths/resources, the power of dialogue without tasks, trust in the counselor, and narrative authorship. Conclusions: The Gallery Model appears to facilitate rapid change in early sessions by supporting client‑led, description‑rich conversations that operationalize core SFBT principles. Findings are preliminary given the small, single‑group pilot design and should be interpreted accordingly.
