영유아 부모의 인공지능(AI) 교육에 대한 인식 및 요구 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 영유아 인공지능 교육에 대한 부모의 인식 및 요구를 살펴보고, 이를 바탕으로 영유아 인공지능 교육을 위한 올바른 방향성을 모색해 보는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2024년 11월 15일부터 12월 20일까지 0세~5세 자녀를 둔 부모 355명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 29.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인공지능 교육에 대한 영유아 부모의 인식을 분석한 결과, 인공지능의 용어와 개념에 대해서는 대부분의 부모가 전반적으로 알고 있었다. 둘째, 인공지능 교육에 대한 영유아 부모의 인식을 분석한 결과, 인공지능 교육의 개념에 대해서는 알고 있었지만, 영유아 인공지능 교육을 접한 경험은 많지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 영유아 인공지능 교육의 필요성에 대해서는 긍정적으로 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 인공지능 교육에 대한 영유아 부모의 요구를 분석한 결과, 인공지능 교육의 개발 방향으로 교육 데이터 및 인프라 확충과 영유아 주도 놀이 지원을 가장 많이 요구하였고, 인공지능 관련 부모교육의 필요성 또한 높게 인식하고 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 향후 인공지능 교육이 구체화되어 유아교육기관에 적절히 적용되고, 인공지능 시대를 살아갈 영유아들을 위한 놀이 기반 인공지능 교육이 활성화되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine parents' perceptions and demands for artificial intelligence education for infants and toddlers, and to find the right direction for artificial intelligence education for infants and toddlers based on this. To this end, a survey was conducted on 355 parents with children aged 0 to 5 from November 15 to December 20, 2024. A frequency analysis was conducted using the SPSS 29.0 program for the collected data. The results of the study are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the perceptions of parents of infants and toddlers about artificial intelligence education, most parents knew about the terms and concepts of artificial intelligence in general. Second, as a result of analyzing the perceptions of parents of infants and toddlers about artificial intelligence education, it was found that they knew about the concept of artificial intelligence education, but did not have much experience with it. However, they were positively aware of the necessity of artificial intelligence education for infants and toddlers. Third, as a result of analyzing the needs of parents of infants and toddlers for artificial intelligence education, the expansion of educational data and infrastructure and support for infant-led play were the most demanded in the direction of the development of artificial intelligence education, and the necessity of parent education related to artificial intelligence was also highly recognized. Based on these results, it is expected that artificial intelligence education will be materialized in the future, appropriately applied to early childhood education institutions, and play-based artificial intelligence education for infants and toddlers who will live in the AI era will be activated.
