국문 초록

This study investigated the differences in trunk muscle activity and movement angles between sitting on a chair and sitting cross-legged on the floor during five-directional reaching movements with both hands. Six healthy males in their 20s voluntarily participated in the study. Trunk muscle activity and movement angles were measured as participants performed reaching tasks in five different directions using both their right and left hands in each sitting posture. Muscle activity was assessed using a wireless electromyography (EMG) system (COMETA, Italy), while trunk movement angles were analyzed with the Oqus 300 infrared camera system (Qualisys, Sweden). Data collection was conducted using the QTM (Qualisys Track Manager) program, and analysis was performed with Visual 3D software (C-Motion, USA). The results indicated that trunk muscle activity was significantly lower in the cross-legged sitting posture compared to chair sitting. Similarly, trunk movement angles were also reduced in the cross-legged posture. These findings suggest that sitting posture can influence trunk muscle activation and mobility, which may have implications for rehabilitation, ergonomics, and posture training. Future studies with larger sample sizes and diverse populations are needed to validate these results and explore their clinical applications.
