국문 초록

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects on knowledge, attitude, self-efficacy, and confidence of CPR before and after implementing the Korean CPR Association’s basic life support training (KBLS) and the American Heart Association’s basic life support training (BLS) for physical therapy students. To investigate the efficacy of the educational program, paired t-test was used to determine the relationship between dependent variables. An independent t-test was used to verify the difference between the KBLS and BLS training programs. The participants were 55 physical therapy students who took part in the basic life support training course. The questionnaire was measured before and immediately after training. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS 22.0 program. As a result of the study, there was a significant effect on students’ knowledge, attitude, self-efficacy, and confidence in performing CPR before and after the Korean CPR and American Heart Association basic life support training (p<0.05). There was no difference in effectiveness between the basic life support training of the Korean Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and the basic life support training of the American Heart Association. Therefore, it appears that existing BLS education can be sufficiently replaced by KBLS education, and future education-related research on KBLS is also needed. In addition, based on these results, we suggest research to prepare measures to promote re-education and to analyze and compare various practice-oriented curriculum that can sustain educational effects.
