국문 초록

This cross-sectional study aimed to explore perceptions, knowledge, and perceived importance of sexual rehabilitation among occupational therapists and sought to investigate how these factors varied across different demographic and professional profiles. A total of 203 clinical occupational therapists from diverse regions across South Korea were surveyed using a structured self-report questionnaire designed to evaluate their understanding, knowledge, and perceived importance of sexual rehabilitation in clinical practice. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, one-way analysis of variance, and Tukey’s post hoc tests with SPSS 20.0 software. Statistically significant differences in occupational therapists’ perceptions, knowledge, and perceived importance of sexual rehabilitation were observed across groups defined by sex, educational attainment, and prior completion of formal sexual rehabilitation training (p<0.05). Occupational therapists with specialized training demonstrated significantly higher scores across all assessment domains compared with their untrained counterparts (p<0.05). Conversely, no statistically significant differences were found concerning age, marital status, years of clinical experience, or workplace settings (p>0.05). These findings underscore both the vital necessity of incorporating sexual rehabilitation training into occupational therapy curricula and the crucial importance of mobilizing institutional and policy-level support. This study provides foundational evidence to guide the development of targeted educational initiatives and policy frameworks that can facilitate holistic and comprehensive patient care through enhancing the professional competency of occupational therapists.
