국문 초록

본 연구는 고령친화 지역사회환경과 노인의 삶의 만족도 간 관계에서 사회참여활동의 매개효과와 건강상태의 조절된 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 보건복지부와 한국보건사회연구원이 공동으로 수행한 ‘2023년 노인실태조사’데이터를 분석에 활용하였으며, 통계분석은 SPSS 20, PROCESS macro v4.2 프로그램 중 모델 7을 활용하였다. 주요연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고령친화 지역사회환경은 삶의 만족도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 둘째 고령친화 지역사회환경과 삶의 만족도 간 관계에서 사회참여활동은 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 고령친화적인 지역사회환경을 구축하면 노인들이 다양한 사회참여활동에 많이 동참하게 되면서 궁극적으로 삶의 만족도가 높아진다는 것을 뜻한다. 셋째, 고령친화 지역사회환경과 삶의 만족도 간 관계에서 노인들의 사회참여활동이 매개효과를 가지며, 이러한 매개효과는 건강상태에 따라 조절되는 것으로 나타났다. 건강상태를 저집단, 중집단, 고집단으로 구분하여 평균의 변화량을 분석한 결과, 건강상태가 저집단이지만 고령친화 지역사회환경이 우수할수록 사회참여활동 증가 폭이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이는 고령친화 지역사회 환경 조성이 신체적으로 취약한 노인들에게 더욱 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있으며, 이들을 위한 사회참여 기회 확대가 중요함을 시사한다. 본 연구는 건강상태가 낮을수록 고령친화 지역사회환경의 영향력이 더 커진다는 점을 실증적으로 밝혀냄으로써 기존 연구를 확장하고 정교한 정책적 논의를 가능하게 하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study is to verify the mediating effect of social participation activities and the controlled mediating effect of health status in the relationship between the elderly-friendly community environment and the elderly's life satisfaction. The main research results are as follows. First, it was found that the elderly-friendly community environment had a significant direct effect on life satisfaction, and second, social participation activities were found to have a mediating effect in the relationship between the elderly-friendly community environment and the elderly's life satisfaction. Third, in the relationship between the elderly-friendly community environment and life satisfaction, the elderly's social participation activities have a mediating effect, and this mediating effect was found to be controlled by the health status. As a result of analyzing the average change amount by dividing the health status into low group, middle group, and high group, the lower the health status, but the better the elderly-friendly community environment, the higher the increase in social participation activities. This means that even if the health status is not good, social participation activities are also higher if the elderly-friendly community environment is good. This study is meaningful in that it expanded existing research and enabled elaborate policy discussions by empirically revealing that the lower the health status, the greater the influence of the elderly-friendly community environment.
