마음반 유아들의 갈등해결 지원을 위한 실행연구 : 스토리텔링 수업을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구 목적은 유아교육현장에서 스토리텔링 수업을 활용하여 유아 또래 간 갈등이 보다 주체적으로 해결되도록 지원하고, 그 과정에서 나타난 유아들의 갈등해결 양상이 어떠한 변화를 보이는지 고찰하는 것이다. 이를 위해 실행연구 방법을 적용하여, S초등학교병설유치원 만 5세 마음반 유아 15명을 대상으로 총 12주 동안 스토리텔링 수업을 진행하면서 유아 갈등해결 지원, 관찰 및 면담을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 스토리텔링 수업을 활용한 유아 갈등해결 지원의 실행은 ‘대집단 스토리텔링 수업에 기초한 갈등해결 시도’, ‘소집단 체험식 교수접근으로의 전환’, ‘갈등해결의 실천력 향상을 위한 정서활동 강화-통합적 접근의 개별 활동 지원’의 과정으로 이루어졌다. 둘째, 유아의 갈등해결 양상의 변화는 자기중심적 사고와 행동에서 타인에 대한 감정 이해 및 공감 확대, 새롭고 긍정적인 갈등 해결방법 창안, 형식적이고 일방적인 사과에서 구체적이고 맥락적인 사과표현으로의 변화, 부정적 정서조절을 위한 유아들의 다양하고 자발적인 노력의 증가로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to provide child conflict resolution support using storytelling classes to help children solve conflicts on their own, and to find out what changes the children conflict resolution patterns have made in everyday life linked to the storytelling classes. To this end, researchers and teachers conducted a total of 12 weeks of child conflict resolution support, observation and interview with fifteen 5-year-old children (nine boys and six girls) in kindergarten. The child conflict resolution support process using the storytelling class as a result of this study is as follows. First practice and reflection: attempt to resolve conflicts using large group storytelling classes. Second practice and reflection: transition to small group discussion and role play activities. Third practice and reflection: strengthening personal experience activities to help practice in everyday life search for conflict resolution support through promotion of individual activities with an integrated approach. Next, the changes in conflict resolution patterns are as follows. First, in the self-centered thinking and behavior of children, emotional understanding and empathy for others were expanded. Second, the creation of a new and positive solution: conflict resolution using humor was achieved. Third, it changed from a superficial apology to an apology that understood the other person's mind. Fourth, the efforts of children toward emotional control from negative emotional outbursts increased.
