예술활동과 통합한 유아과학교육의 연구동향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 예술활동과 통합한 유아과학교육의 연구동향을 분석하여 유아과학교육 관련 연구를 재조명하고 유아를 위한 과학교육의 발전 방향을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 2000년에서 2015년까지 발간된 예술활동과 통합한 유아과학교육 관련 논문 총78편을 선정하고 분석하였다. 예술활동과 통합한 유아과학교육연구는 2000년부터 시작하여 해가 갈수록 증가하는 추세이며, 과학교육에 통합된 예술교과 중에는 문학과 통합된 연구가 45%로 가장 높은 비율로 이루어진 것으로 나타났다. 또한 연구방법으로는 실험연구가 79.5%, 조사연구 10.3%로 연구의 대부분이 양적연구 방법에 의한 연구들로 분석되었다. 연구대상은 만 5세를 대상으로 한 연구가 72.9% 만 4세를 위한 연구가 7.1%, 만 3세를 위한연구 4.3%로 분석되었고, 성인을 위한 연구는 총합계 5.7%로 분석되어 연구대상의 급격한 차이가 나타났다. 연구의 내용 분류는 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하는 연구가 85.9%이고, 유아의 과학과관련한 능력의 발달이 총합계 약 65%로 분석되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine integrated art activities and early childhood science educations. Based on this study, we are able to suggest a new direction for children’s science education. For this purpose, we selected 78 integrated art activities and child science education dissertations by master and doctoral graduates as well as journal articles. After selecting 78 dissertations and journals, we did an analysis by years, contents and methods. Since 2000, integrated art. activities and child science education was increasing yearly based on research: 45 percent of the research was on literature-integrated early childhood science education programs, 21 percent on art-integrated studies and 11 percent on music-integrated studies. Moreover, for their methods, 79.5 percent were experimental studies, and 10.3 percent survey studies. However, most studies were quantitative research. For the subjects of the studies, 72.9 percent were 5 years old, 7.1 percent 4 years old, and 4.3 percent 3 years old while 5.7 percent were adults. The content of the studies was classified as 85.9 percent on development and application and 65 percent on enhancing a Child’s science ability.
