유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 양육효능감과 양육스트레스 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 양육효능감과 양육스트레스가 어느 정도인지, 관련 변인은 무엇인지, 또 양육효능감과 양육스트레스간의 상관관계는 어떠한지를 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 경상남도 J시와 S시에 소재한 어린이집 10곳에서 만 4세-5세 유아의 아버지 254명을 연구대상으로 설문지를 수집하여 SPSS 21.0 Program을 사용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과는 다음과같다. 첫째, 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 양육효능감은 보통수준으로, 양육스트레스는 낮은 수준으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 양육효능감은 사회인구학적인 변인과 심리적 변인이 유의한 변인으로 나타났으며, 양육스트레스는 아버지의 학력, 자아존중감, 아내의 자아존중감이 유의한 변인으로 나타났다. 셋째, 아버지의 양육효능감은 양육스트레스와 부적인 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 유아교육기관에서 아버지를 위한 부모교육 프로그램 개발에 유용한 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the degree of parenting efficacy and parenting stress and related variables of fathers in child rearing. The subjects in this study included 254 fathers of 4~5 year_old children who live in J- and S-cities of Gyeongsang Namdo, Korea. All data including frequencies, percentages, means, t-test, one way-ANOVA, Tukey-test significant difference, and correlations were computed and analyzed with SPSS 21.0. The results of this study are as follows: First, the score for the parenting efficacy of fathers raising their young children was mid-level, and the score for parenting stress was low. Second, the parenting efficacy of fathers to raise their young children relied mainly on their social-economic and psychological status, whereas parenting stress largely depended on the educational level and self-esteem of the fathers. Third, the parenting efficacy of fathers raising their young children has a negative relationship with that of parenting stress. The results of this study can provide very useful information to educational institutions for the development of preschool programs.
