제4차 표준보육과정에 반영된 영아존중의 실제적 이해

국문 초록

본 연구는 제4차표준보육과정을 영아존중의 관점에서조명하고 영아교사들의 영아존중보육운영 역량을 향상할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 수행되었다. 영아교사들이 이해하기 어려워하는 0∼2세 영아의 독특하고 급변하는 발달적 특성이 영아보육 운영의 어려움과 어떻게 연관되는지 알아보고 영아교사로서 어떠한 인식의 변화가 있어야 하는지 살펴보았다. 영아보육의 핵심 내용을 다루고 영아지원이 유아지원과 구별되는 특성을 강조하였다. 교사의 인식변화와 전문성 향상을 위해 필요한 지원으로서, 대집단 강의나 워크숍보다 기관별, 연령별 영아교사 대상으로 교사가 보육운영 중 자신의 보육활동 및 놀이지원을 순환적, 지속적으로 심화해 나갈 수 있는 성찰 기반의 교사교육을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 영아교사들이 영아전문가로서 제4차 표준보육과정의 0∼2세 영아존중 취지를 실제적으로 이해하여 보육운영 역량을 발휘하는 데 도움을 줄 것으로 사료된다. 영아와 교사 모두 행복하고 성장하는 보육현장이 될 수 있도록 교사재교육, 부모교육, 정책적 지원방안이 제시되었다.

영문 초록

This study shed light on the 4th National Standard Child Care Curriculum from the perspective of infant respect and found ways for infant teachers to improve their infant care management capabilities. This study examined how the unique and rapidly changing developmental characteristics of infants aged 0 to 2 years, which are difficult for infant teachers to understand, are related to the difficulties of infant care operations. In addition, it dealt with what kind of changes should be made as infant teachers and the core contents of infant care. It was emphasized that infant support is distinguished from preschooler support. As necessary support for changing teachers" perceptions and improving expertise, reflection-based teacher education was presented for infant teachers by institution and age rather than large group lectures or workshops. This study is meaningful in that it sought to understand the purpose of the 4th National Standard Child Care Curriculum that respects the unique characteristics of infants aged 0 to 2 years, and suggested the possible efficient ways to become a happy child care site for both infants and teachers.
