국문 초록

본 연구는 어머니의 스마트폰 과의존과 유아의 사회성 간 관계에서 어머나-유아 상호작용의 매개효과를 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적을 실현하기 위하여 어머니 스마트폰 과의존, 유아 사회성, 어머나-유아 상호작용 간의 상관관계와 매개효과를 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 S시에 거주하는 유아의 학부모 250명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 26.0과 PROCESS macro 4.0.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석했다. 연구 결과로는 첫째, 어머니의 스마트폰 과의존은 유아의 사회성, 어머니-유아 상호작용과 부적 상관관계가 있었고, 어머니-유아 상호작용과 유아의 사회성은 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 스마트폰 과의존이 유아의 사회성에 미치는 영향에서 어머니-유아 상호작용의 매개효과를 확인한 결과, 유의미한 부적 매개효과가 있음이 확인되었다. 따라서 이 연구를 통해 어머니의 스마트폰 과의존이 유아의 사회성에 미치는 영향력을 밝혀 스마트폰 과의존의 위험성에 대한 근거 자료를 제공하며 동시에 어머니-유아 상호작용이 유아의 사회성에 주요한 영향을 미치는 요인으로 작용할 수 있다는 방향성을 제시하였다는 데 그 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study examined the mediating effect of the mother-child interaction on the relationship between maternal smartphone overdependence and children’s sociality. To this end, the correlations and mediating effects of maternal smartphone overdependence, children’s sociality, and the mother-child interaction were examined. Thus, data were collected from 250 parents of infants living in City S, and the data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and PROCESS macro 4.0.0 programs. The results showed that, first, maternal smartphone overdependence and the mother-child interaction and maternal smartphone overdependence and children’s sociality were negatively related to each other, and the mother-child interaction and children’s sociality were positively related to each other. Second, the mediating effect of the mother-child interaction on the effect of maternal smartphone overdependence on children’s sociality was examined, and a significant negative mediating effect was found. The significance of this study is that it reveals the effects of maternal smartphone overdependence on children’s sociality, providing evidence for the dangers of smartphone overdependence and suggesting that the mother-child interaction may be an important factor affecting children’s sociality.
