연개소문의 집권과정에 대한몇가지 재검토 - 출신부와 초기 직책을 중심으로

국문 초록

연개소문은 고구려 후기 정치체제의 구조적 전환을 이끈 대표적 인물로 평가되며, 그의 집권 과정은 기존 귀족연립체제의 해체와 독재 체제의 성립이라는 측면에서 중대한 전환점으로 이해된다. 그러나 관련 사료들의 부족, 그리고 사료들의 상충된 내용 등으로 인해 아직까지 논란이 되고 있는 부분이 많다. 가량 연개소문의 출신부 문제라든지, 연개소문이 쿠데타를 일으킨 후 취임한 직책이라든지 하는 것 등이 대표적이다. 본 논문은 연개소문 집권과정 관련 사료에 대한 기존 해석의 한계를 지적하고, 그의 출신과 관직 변천을 중심으로 관련 사료들을 재검토함으로써 보다 입체적인 분석을 시도한다. 우선, 연개소문의 출신부를 둘러싼 사료의 상충을 분석하고, 방위명 부와 방향명 부의 위계적 구조를 통해 연씨 가문의 정치적 위상을 재구성하였다. 또한, 연개소문과 부친 연태조의 관직인 대인･막리지･대대로 간의 관계를 검토하여 연개소문 가문의 특성을 분석하고자 하였다. 그럼으로써 연개소문 가문의 등장이 고구려 정치사에 있어서 어떤 의미를 지니고 있는지, 고구려가 갖고 있던 국정운영 시스템의 붕괴가 어떻게 이루어졌는지에 대한 규명을 해 보고자 한다.

영문 초록

Yeon Gaesomun is regarded as a representative figure who led the structural transformation of the political system in the late Goguryeo period, and his rise to power is understood as a major turning point in terms of the dissolution of the existing aristocratic coalition system and the establishment of a dictatorial regime. However, due to the lack of relevant historical records and conflicting contents in the existing records, there are still many controversial issues. For example, issues such as Yeon Gaesomun's place of origin or the position he assumed after the coup d'état are representative examples. This paper points out the limitations of existing interpretations of historical records related to Yeon Gaesomun's rise to power and attempts a more comprehensive analysis by reexamining relevant historical records, focusing on his origins and career changes. First, it analyzes the conflicting historical records surrounding Yeon Gaesomun's clan and reconstructs the political status of the Yeon clan through the hierarchical structure of the region-named cardinal directions and the region-named every direction. Additionally, it examines the relationship between Yeon Gaesomun and his father Yeon Taejo's official positions－Dae-in, Makriji, and Daedaero－to analyze the characteristics of the Yeon clan. Through this, it seeks to clarify the significance of the Yeon clan's emergence in Goguryeo's political history and how the collapse of Goguryeo's national governance system occurred.
