AI 디지털교과서의 교육적 의미 고찰 - AI 코스웨어에 관한 사례 연구를 중심으로

국문 초록

연구목적: 기존 서책형 교과서와 다른 AI 디지털교과서의 교육·기술적 요소를 탐색하여, 교수·학습 양상의 특이성을 분석하고 AI 디지털교과서의 구체적인 활용 및 인식 차원에서 교육적 의미를 고찰하였다. 연구방법: AI 디지털교과서가 AI 코스웨어로서의 특성을 지님을 탐색하고, AI 코스웨어를 활용한 교수·학습 사례를 수집하여 탐색적 사례연구를 수행하였다. AI 코스웨어 교수·학습 계획과 실천 과정이 구체적으로 드러난 사례를 선별하고 교수·학습 목표 수립, 준비, 활동, 성찰 과정으로 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 교사는 교육과정을 고려하여 AI 디지털교과서를 선정하고, AI 디지털교과서가 해결하지 못하는 교육 상황을 보완하는 교육과정을 설계하게 된다. 둘째, 교사는 동료와 학생에게 AI 디지털교과서 활용을 공유하고, 학교와 학습자 특성을 고려하여 AI 디지털교과서 활용 교육과정을 성찰하는 교사 행위주체성을 발휘하게 된다. 결론: 첫째, AI 디지털교과서 활용은 교육과정 내용을 실감 나게 제공하고, 교육과정 방법과 학생 평가를 효과적으로 수행하여 교육과정의 목표와 학생 역량을 보다 직접적으로 추구할 수 있다. 둘째, AI 디지털교과서는 교사로 하여금 동료, 학생에게 교육과정 및 디지털 기능과 태도, 역량을 증진시키는 역할을 수행하게 한다. 한편, AI 디지털교과서 도입 이전보다 교사에게 다소 과중한 과업과 태도를 요청한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: By exploring the educational and technological elements of AI digital textbooks that are different from existing book-type textbooks, we analyzed the uniqueness of teaching and learning aspects and examined the educational significance of AI digital textbooks in terms of their specific use and recognition. Methods: The researchers explored the characteristics of AI digital textbooks as AI courseware and conducted exploratory case studies by collecting teaching and learning cases utilizing AI courseware. We selected cases that specifically revealed AI courseware teaching and learning plans and implementation processes and analyzed them in terms of teaching and learning goals setting, preparation, activities, and reflection processes. Results: First, teachers select AI digital textbooks considering the curriculum and design their own curriculum that complements educational situations that AI digital textbooks cannot solve. Second, teachers share the use of AI digital textbooks with colleagues and students, and demonstrate teacher agency by reflecting on the AI digital textbook utilization curriculum considering the characteristics of the school and learners. Conclusion: First, the use of AI digital textbooks can provide realistic content for the curriculum, efficiently perform curriculum methods and student evaluations, and more directly pursue the goals of the curriculum and student capabilities. Second, AI digital textbooks allow teachers to play a role in promoting the curriculum and digital functions, attitudes, and capabilities of their colleagues and students. On the other hand, AI digital textbooks require somewhat more tasks and effort from teachers than before they were introduced.
