국문 초록

본 연구는 영화에 사용되는 롱 테이크(long take)의 표현 의미를 탐구하고, 또한 허우샤오시엔의 영화를 사례로 하여 앙드레 바쟁(André Bazin)의 영화 현실주의 이론의 영상 존재론을 기초로 허우샤오시엔 영화에서 롱 테이크와 앙드레 바쟁의 영상 존재론 사이의 유사성을 분석한다. 허우샤오시엔 영화에서 롱 테이크를 분석할 때 우선 연구 소재를 감독의 창작 시기에 따라 ‘성장’, ‘타이완’과 ‘세기말의 화려함’등 3시기로 나누고, 또한 영상 존재론에 따른 재현 세계의 완전성, 시공간의 진실성, 영상과 객관 현실에서 촬영 대상의 동일성 등 세 가지 측면을분석 프레임으로 하여 각각 비교 분석하며, 이를 통해 양자의 유사성을 고찰한다. 연구 결과 허우샤오시엔의 각 시기별 대표 작품은 모두 바쟁의 영상 존재론과 일정한 유사성이 존재한다는 것을 발견하였다. 즉, 허우샤오시엔 롱 테이크는 현실을 중점적으로 재현하는 것이며, 그는 롱 테이크를 통해 영화의 기조를 설정하고관객이 영화 시청과정에서 스토리에 대한 공감 발생을 유도한다. 아울러 관객은할리우드식 몽타주 프레임에서 벗어나 롱 테이크가 발생시키는 깊은 의미를 새롭게 인식한다. 그리고 이러한 연구를 통해 영화 창작자의 롱 테이크 사용에 대한 유익한 시사점을 제공하고, 영화 화면 이론 체계에 기여 하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This study attempts to find the expression meaning of long take in the film, we select Hou’s film as an example, The similarity between long take in Hou’s film and Andre Bazin’s image ontology is analyzed based on the image ontology in realism theory of Andre Bazin’s film. In the process of analyzing the long take of Hou’s film, based on the creative period, the research material has been divided into three different phases such as : ‘growth’, ‘Taiwan’ and ‘gorgeous at the end of the century’. The comparative analysis will be done and we are looking for the similarities between them through various analysis carrier based on the image ontology to reproduce the integrity of the world, the authenticity of time and space and the consistence between film and objective reality . The results show that the representative works of Hou in different periods are similar to Bazan’s image ontology. It can also be seen from the study that the focus of the long take is to reproduce reality. Hou sets the tone of the film through the long take to guide the audience to resonate with the story while watching the film. At the same time, let the audience get rid of Hollywood montage framework, to help the audience re-understand the profound significance of long take. This study can provide useful inspiration for film creators to use long take and contribute to the systematization of theoretical discussion on film shot.
