국문 초록

본 연구는 UTAUT2(Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2:UTAUT2)와 합리적 무관심(rational indifference:RI) 개념을 통합한 이론적 틀을바탕으로, 메타버스 환경에서 수익성 기대와 NFT 구매 의도 간의 관계에서 즐거움과 몰입의 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 메타버스 플랫폼 ‘SportIcon’ 이용자 225명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석결과, 수익 기대가 구매 의도에 직접적으로 미치는 영향은 유의하지 않았으나, 즐거움과 몰입 각각이 유의한 매개효과를 나타내었다. 본 연구의 학술적 의의는 메타버스 환경에서 수익 기대가 정서적·인지적 요인을 매개로 NFT 구매 의도에영향을 미치는 이론적 관계를 규명한 데 있으며, 실무적으로는 메타버스 및 NFT 시장에서 감성적 만족과 인지적 관여를 강화하는 기술적·마케팅적 전략 마련을통해 사용자 경험을 극대화할 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effects of enjoyment and immersion in the relationship between profit expectancy and non-fungible token (NFT) purchase intention in the metaverse, based on the integration of the technology acceptance model and the concept of rational indifference. An online survey was conducted with 225 users of the metaverse platform “SportIcon.” The results showed that while the direct effect of profit expectancy on purchase intention was not significant, enjoyment and immersion each played significant mediating roles. The academic significance of this study lies in its contribution to the theoretical understanding of how profit expectancy in the metaverse influence NFT purchase intention through affective and cognitive factors. The practical implications include proposing technological and marketing strategies that emphasize emotional satisfaction and cognitive engagement to enhance user experience in the metaverse and NFT markets.
