초등학생 ICT기기 중독수준과 ADHD성향

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 초등학교 4-6학년 학생들의 ICT기기 중독실태를 알아보고 ADHD성향이 이러한 ICT기기 중독수준과 어떠한 관계를 가지고 있는지 조사하는데 그 목적이 있다. 서울;경기지역 16개 초등학교 4-6학년 학생 총 1,406명이 본 연구에 참여하였다. 분석된 결과에 의하면 연구대상 학생들의 2.8%가 인터넷중독;4.3%가 휴대폰 중독 위험수준을 보이고 있는 것으로 나타나 우리나라 초등학생들의 ICT기기 중독수준이 매우 심각한 수준인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 ICT기기 중독현상은 성별에 따라 다르게 나타났는데 남학생의 경우 인터넷 중독비율이;여학생의 경우 휴대폰 중독비율이 상대적으로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한;인터넷;휴대폰 중독수준 모두 학년이 올라감에 따라 증가하였으며 특히;학업성취 수준이 낮은 그룹이 인터넷;휴대폰 중독비율이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. ADHD성향과 ICT기기 중독수준과의 관계를 분석한 바에 따르면 과잉행동/충동성;주의력결핍성향 모두 인터넷;휴대폰 중독수준과 정적상관관계를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 특히;ADHD성향과 개별학생변인과의 상호작용효과를 분석한 결과에 따르면 ADHD성향은 ICT기기 중독수준이 높으면 높을수록 이를 더욱더 가속화시킬 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the current level of ICT device addiction of the 4-6th grade elementary school students and the relationships with their ADHD characteristics. The subjects of the study were 1,406 4-6th sixth grade students of 16 schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi educational regions. Results indicated that 2.8% and 4.3% of the students had Internet and cellular phone addiction respectively. While male students were more likely to have Internet addiction;female students tended to have more cellular phone addiction. As the grades of students increased;their level of ICT device addiction also increased. Also;the lowest academic achievement group of students tended to maintain the highest Internet addiction level. In terms of the relationships between ADHD characteristics and ICT addiction;it was possible that the ADHD characteristics of the students increased their level of ICT addiction. Particularly;according to the analysis of interaction effects of ADHD characteristics and their demographic variables on ICT device addiction level;the more ICT addiction the students had;the higher their ADHD characteristics increased their ICT device addiction level.
