영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the pragmatic features of speculative expressions through corpus analysis. Since the restrictions between speculative expressions are not strictly classified, it is not easy for foreign learners to select the appropriate expression for the situation. The proper use of speculative expressions is related to the appropriateness of sentences. Knowing the usage knowledge about speculative expressions is an important factor for smooth communication. For comparison, we analyze which register has the highest frequency of speculative expressions and summarize the mainly used contexts. For convenient comparison, we classify the speculative expressions according to the strength of modality, and compare and analyze the speculative expressions belonging to the same degree. Since the pragmatic features is related to the semantic features, it will be helpful if the learners learn the semantic and pragmatic features of the speculative expressions.
