能因の｢想像奥州十首｣に関する試論家集での位相及び詠歌契機

국문 초록

本稿は平安時代の中期に活動した歌人である能因の自撰家集『能因集』の中巻からみえる歌群を手がかりに、能因にとって陸奥の旅がもつ意味について考察したものである。能因は一生多くの旅をした歌人として有名であるが、その中でも異色を放つのが陸奥への旅である。家集からは二回陸奥に下ったことが分かるが、中巻の後半の139番歌、140～149番の｢想像奥州十首｣と名付けられた定数歌、そして158番歌からは三度目の陸奥下向を計画したのでは、と思われる個所がある。能因は東海道ルートを辿って三度目の陸奥に下向を計画するも、それがかなわなかった原因として、1028年から3年半にわたって房総半島で起きた｢平忠常の乱｣を想定し、｢想像奥州十首｣はその慰めとして詠まれたものではないかとの試論を提示した。｢浜名の橋｣を詠んだ158番歌の直後の159番歌からは下巻がはじまり｢賀陽院歌合｣での歌が続くので、三度目の陸奥下向の証歌がなく、下向が実現したかどうか確認することは出来ない。陸奥まで下ったとしてもその証歌が家集にないのは、初度の陸奥下向の証歌が1首しか残っていないように、自撰家集の編纂に対する能因の取捨選択によるものであると考えられる。

영문 초록

In the present article, I explore the significances of Noin’s trip to Mutsu for the poet himself, a figure who produced works in the midst of Heian period. To this end, I analyse a set of poems collected in the intermediate volume of Noinshu, a collection of Noin’s poems selected by the poet himself. Noin is famous for his countless trips, and among them, of particular note is his trip to Mutsu. It is generally perceived that Noinshu indicates that he tripped to Mutsu twice, but it seems plausible to assume that he attempted his third trip to Mutsu, an assumption based on the 139th poem, the 140th–149th poems entitled Sozo Oshu Jushu, and the 158th poem in the latter half of the intermediate volume of Noinshu. My contention is as follows: (i) Noin planed his third trip to Mutsu via Tokaido, (ii) this plan fell through because of the Revolt of Taira-no Tadatsune, which happened in 1028 and lasted for three and half years, and (iii) he solaced himself with the creation of Sozo Oshu Jushu. It is not possible to confirm that he really tripped to Mutsu for the third time because immediately after the 158th poem featuring the “Bridge of Hamana”, he starts to write about “Kayanoin Utaawase” from the 159th poem on. Still, the reason why Noinshu does not contain any poem concerning his third trip to Mutsu seems to be that Noin intentionally did not include it in his poem collection as he intentionally included only a single poem concerning his first trip to Mutsu.
