국어과 예비교사의 교육 실습에서 나타나는 수업 화법 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 국어과 예비교사들이 교육 실습 중 사용하는 수업 화법의 특징과 어려움을 알아보기 위해 이루어졌다. 참여자는 3개 중등학교에서 실습한 4명의 교생으로 각 2회씩 총 8차시 수업을 관찰하고 수업 녹음 자료를 전사하여 주자료로 활용하였고, 현장 노트, 예비교사와 지도교사의 면담 자료를 보조 자료로 활용하여 분석이 이루어졌다. 수업 화법의 유형은 발화, 발문, 응답으로 분류하고 이를 수업에서의 기능에 따라 수업 내용 화법, 수업 진행 화법으로 세분화하여 6가지 유형으로 나누어 빈도를 조사하고 유형별 특징과 문제점을 분석하였다. 예비교사가 수업 화법에서 많이 사용한 화법 유형은 수업 내용 발화였고 수업 진행 화법을 어려워하였다. 참여자별로 발문과 응답의 사용량에서 차이가 나타났으며 발문과 응답의 수는 교실 내 의사소통의 활발함과 관련이 있었다. 모둠 수업, 학생 활동 수업 등 다양한 방식의 수업 운영을 위해서도 수업 진행 화법의 적절한 사용이 요구되었고, 수업의 주를 이루는 수업 내용 발화의 효과적인 사용도 성공적인 수업을 위해서 중요한 요소였다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to examine the characteristics and difficulties of instructional communication facilitated by prospective Korean language teachers during teaching practice. Participants were comprised of four trainee teachers who were placed at three schools for teaching practice. This study analyzed audio recordings from two classes per each trainee teacher for a total of eight classes, in addition to supplementary materials consisting of class obervation records and records of consultation between trainee teachers and supervising teachers. The various types of instructional communication were categorized into voicing, questioning, and responding. By subdividing each category into communication related to lesson content and communication related to class progression, a total of six different types were analyzed. The most frequently used type of instructional communication w as communication related to lesson content, and trainee teachers showed difficulty in using class progression communication. The implementation of various forms of class managements, such as small group- based classes and student-led class activities, required the appropriate use of class progression communication, while the effective use of lesson content communication, which comprises most of the class, was also a key factor in leading a successful class.
