장애영유아 부모의 보편적 양육 경험에 관한 질적 메타종합 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 장애영유아 부모가 자녀를 양육하면서 어떠한 보편적인 경험을 하는지 알아보고, 이를 바탕으로 장애영유아 부모를 위한 실천적, 정책적 제안을 하는 데 목적이 있다. SPIDER 전략을 적용하여 관련 질적 연구 16편을 선정하였고 CASP로 질적 평가를 하였으며 주제종합 절차에 따라 분석 자료를 메타종합하였다. 텍스트 라인별 코딩을 하여 72개의 주요코드가 발견되었고, 이를 지속적 비교 분석법에 따라 분석한 결과 18개의 하위범주와 4개의 설명적 주제가 도출되었다. 설명적 주제는 ‘진단, 치료, 교육 시스템에 대한 경험’, ‘자녀 양육의 어려움으로 인한 정서적 고립과 소진’, ‘긍정적 경험을 통한 내면의 성장’, ‘지원요구 및 개선 방향 제안’으로, 장애영유아 부모는 위와 같은 공통적인 경험을 하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 실천적, 정책적 제안을 위해 연구자의 해석으로 생성된 분석적 주제는 ‘흩어진 정보와 단절된 체계’, ‘자력에 의존한 시련의 극복’, ‘보편주의 중심 제도의 결함’이다. 이 연구는 장애영유아 부모가 어떠한 보편적인 양육 경험을 하는지 알아보고, 이들을 위한 실천적인 정책과 제도를 제안한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to identify the universal experiences of parents raising infants and young children with disabilities, and to make practical and policy recommendations for these parents based on these findings. Sixteen relevant qualitative studies were selected using the SPIDER strategy, qualitatively assessed using CASP, and analysed through meta-synthesis following a thematic synthesis procedure. Text-line coding identified 72 primary codes. Analysis using constant comparative analysis yielded 18 subcategories and four explanatory themes. The explanatory themes were:“Experiences of diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational systems”, “Emotional isolation and burnout due to difficulties in child-rearing”,“Inner growth through positive experiences”, and “Requests for support and suggestions for improvement”. It was revealed that parents of infants and young children with disabilities share these common experiences. Analytical themes generated through the researcher's interpretation for practical and policy proposals are: “Scattered Information and Disconnected Systems”,“Overcoming Trials through Self-Reliance”, and“Flaws in Universalism-Centred Systems”. This study holds significance in identifying the universal experiences of parents of infants and young children with disabilities and proposing practical policies and systems for them.
