청각장애인을 위한 평생교육 프로그램 모형 설계 및 개발: ‘마술로 소통하기’ 시민참여교육을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 청각장애인의 평생교육 참여 확대와 사회 통합을 도모하기 위해, 마술을 매개로 한 시민참여 중심의 평생교육 프로그램 ‘마술로 소통하기’의 모형을 설계·개발하여 청각장애인의 평생교육 참여 여건을 개선하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 설정한 연구내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 마술을 활용한 청각장애인 시민참여교육 프로그램 개발을 위한 사용자 요구사항을 도출하고, 둘째, 이를 바탕으로 프로그램의 개발 가능성을 검토하여 실제 교육 프로그램을 설계·구성하였다. 셋째, 개발된 프로그램에 대해 전문가의 현장 적합성 평가를 실시하고, 그 결과를 반영하여 수정·보완하였다. 본 연구에서는 마술활동이 청각장애인의 사회성, 자존감, 비언어적 의사소통 능력 향상에 미치는 효과와, 해당 프로그램이 시민참여교육으로서의 타당성과 현장 적용 가능성을 갖추었는지를 주요 분석 대상으로 삼았다. 연구 방법으로는 문헌 분석, 설문조사, 델파이 조사, 포커스 그룹 인터뷰(FGI)를 활용하였다. 연구 결과, 마술활동은 청각장애인의 자아효능감 및 사회적 상호작용 능력 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 개발된 프로그램은 현장 실행 가능성과 적합성 면에서 높은 평가를 받았다. 본 연구는 청각장애인을 위한 창의적이고 실천적인 평생교육 프로그램의 가능성을 제시하였다는 점에서 이론적·정책적 의의를 지닌다.

영문 초록

This study aims to expand lifelong learning opportunities and promote social integration for individuals with hearing impairments by designing and developing a citizen-participatory lifelong education program titled “Communicating Through Magic.” To achieve this goal, the study pursued three key research objectives: (1) to identify user needs for developing a magic-based citizen participation education program tailored for individuals with hearing impairments; (2) to examine the feasibility of program development and construct an educational model accordingly; and (3) to evaluate the field applicability of the developed program through expert reviews and refine it based on their feedback. The study focused on analyzing the effects of magic activities on the social skills, self-esteem, and non-verbal communication abilities of individuals with hearing impairments, as well as assessing the program’s validity and practical applicability as a form of citizen-participatory education. A mixed-methods approach was employed, including literature analysis, surveys, Delphi studies, and focus group interviews (FGIs). The findings revealed that engagement in magic activities had a positive impact on participants’ self-efficacy and social interaction skills. Moreover, the developed program was rated highly in terms of relevance and feasibility in real-world settings. This study holds theoretical and policy implications by presenting a creative and actionable model for inclusive lifelong education specifically designed for the hearing-impaired population.
