국문 초록

본 연구는 ｢대학장구서｣를 규명함에 있어 저본으로 정복심의『사서장도찬석』을 활용하였다. 이 저술은 정복심의 저작 중 유일하게 저자, 간행지, 간행년도가 명시되어 있는 자료이다. 그가『사서장도찬석』을 저술할 때, 저본으로 활용한 ‘사서이십삼책’은 고려 활자본『사서장도이십삼종』으로 대체되어 부제와 저자 표기상의 오류를 그대로 간직한 채 간행되었다. 본 연구에서 검토한 ｢대학장구서｣와 관련된 저술들은 주희의 ｢대학장구서｣를 시작으로『사서장도이십삼종』｢대학주자장구서중정집석통의대성｣,『사서장도찬석』 3권 ｢대학혹문전｣ ｢대학장구서｣, 그리고 『사서장도찬석』 1권, 첫 장도인 ｢대학정교지서｣의 순으로 전개된다. 여기에 초기 도설서인『사서찬석』의 ｢대학장구서｣ 자료는 없지만『사서찬석』과 『사서장도』를 합본한 최종적 통합본 『사서장도찬석』의 ｢대학장구서｣와는 큰 차이는 없을 것이다. 그리고 정복심의 ｢대학정교지서｣를 논하기 위해 『사서장도찬석』 1권, ｢사서장도은괄총요상｣에 수록되어 있는 ｢논주자태극도여역계사표리상합｣이라는 도상은 도학자 주돈이의 ｢태극도｣와 공자의 역·계사를 표리관계로 해석한다. 또, 주돈이 ｢태극도설｣과 ｢태극도｣를 비교하여 주희의 ｢대학장구서｣를 잊을 수 있도록 도설화한 『사서장도찬석』 ｢대학장구서｣를 장도화한 것이 ｢대학정교지서｣이다. 결론적으로『사서장도찬석』에서 『대학』의 핵심이라 할 수 있는 ｢대학정교지서｣를 3권 ｢대학혹문전｣에 배치하지 않고『사서장도찬석』1권의 첫 장도에 배치한 것은 주희의 ｢대학장구서｣보다 그 학문적 위상을 높이고자 한 구성이다. 고로,｢대학정교지서｣의 정교(政敎)는 학술과 정계로 계승되는 것이다.

영문 초록

This study utilizes Jeong, Bok-sim's(程復心)『Saseojangdo- Chanseok(四書章圖纂釋)』as the primary textual basis for examining the ｢Daehakjangguseo(大學章句序)｣. Among Jeong, Bok-shim writings, this text is the only one with clearly indicated authorship, place of publication, and year. The textual source used by Jeong, Bok-shim known as the ‘Saseo 23chaek(四書二十三冊)’ was in replaced by the Goryeo type edition『Saseojangdo 23jong(四書章圖二十三終)』 which retained errors in subtitles and author attributions without correction. The works related to the ｢Daehakjangguseo｣ examined in this study unfold in the following order first ZhuXi’s(朱熹) original ｢Daehakjangguseo｣ then, the version titled ｢DaehakJujaJangguSeoJungjeongJipseokTonguiDaeseong(大學朱子章句序重訂輯釋通義大成)｣ in 『SaseoJangdo 23jong』followed by 3 volume 『SaseojangdoChanseok』which contains ｢DaehakHokmunJeon(大學或問全)｣ and ｢Daehakjangguseo｣ and finally, the first diagrammatic schematic chapter ｢DaehakJeonggyoJiseo(大學政敎之緖)｣ in 1 volume 『SaseoJangdoChanseok』. Although the ｢DaehakJangguSeo｣ from the early diagrammatic commentary 『SaseoChanseok(四書纂釋)』 is not extant, the version of ｢DaehakJangguseo｣ included in the final integrated edition,『SaseoJangdoChanseok』 a combined edition of『SaseoChanseok』 and 『SaseoJangdo(四書章圖)』. The 1 volumeIn 『SaseoJangdoChanseok』 within the titled ｢SaseoJangdoEungwalChongyoSang(四書章圖櫽括緫要上)｣, the diagram ｢NonJujataijitudoYeokGyesaPyoriSanghap(論朱子太極圖與易繫辭表裏相合)｣ interprets ZhuDunyi’s(周敦頤) ｢Taegeukdo(太極圖)｣ and Confucius’s(孔子) Yijing · Gyesajeon(易繫辭) as having a complementary inner-outer relationship(表裏關係). Furthermore, when compared with ZhouDunyi’s(周敦頤) ｢Taegeukdoseol(太極圖說)｣ and ｢Taegeukdo｣, the diagrammatic text that renders ZhuXi’s ｢DaehakJangguseo｣ dispensable is Jeong, Bok-sim’s ｢Daehak JeonggyoJiseo｣. In conclusion, the placement of ｢DaehakJeonggyojiseo｣, not in volume 3’s ｢DaehakHokmunJeon｣ but as the first diagram in volume 1 of『SaseojangdoChanseok』, reflects an intentional arrangement aimed at elevating its scholarly status beyond ZhuXi’s ｢Daehakjangguseo｣. Therefore, the notion of Jeonggyo(政敎) in ｢DaehakJeonggyoJiseo｣ is inherited through both scholarship and politics.
