국악 공연장 감상교육이 예비 초등교사의 음악적 감성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 국악 공연장 감상교육이 예비 초등교사의 음악적 감성 향상에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 광역시 소재의 B교육대학교와 D교육대학교에 재학 중인 예비 초등교사 79명을 대상으로 총 4주간 국악 감상교육 및 공연장 감상활동을 실시하였다. 온라인 설문지 조사를 통해 자료를 수집하여 음악적 감성에 대한 기술통계 분석, 빈도, 대응표본 t-검정을 시행하였고 사전-사후 검사를 비교 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국악 공연장 감상교육이 예비 초등교사의 음악적 감성을 향상시키는 데는 유의미한 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 세부 요인별 분석 결과 ‘이해력’은 교육 이후 0.72점 상승하여 유의미한 차이를 보였으며, 이는 국악 감상교육이 학습자의 음악적 개념 이해를 효과적으로 증진시킴을 시사하였다. ‘수용력’과 ‘적용력’의 경우, 감상교육 후 소폭 상승하였으나 유의미한 차이는 나타나지 않아 음악적 감성 가운데 정서적 몰입과 실생활 적용을 직접적으로 촉진하는 데에는 한계가 있음을 확인하였다. 셋째, 음악적 감성 요소의 순위에서는 감상교육은 음악적 개념을 이해하는 능력(이해력)을 가장 효과적으로 증진시키는 데 기여하였으며, 요소별 평균 점수에서도 가장 높은 상승을 보였다. 본 연구는 국악 공연장 감상교육의 효과를 실증적으로 검토하고, 감상 교육으로서 오프라인의 감상교육이 음악적 감성에 얼마나 영향을 미치는지에 대한 실증적 사례를 살펴본 점에서 의의를 가진다. 또한, 전통적인 국악 공연장 감상교육을 넘어 디지털 매체를 활용한 감상 기회 확대와 실천적 적용을 위한 폭넓은 교육적 지원이 이루어져야 함을 시사하는 바이다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the impact of traditional Korean music concert appreciation education on the musical sensitivity of pre-service elementary school teachers. The study was conducted over four weeks with 79 pre-service teachers from B National University of Education in Gyeongsangnam-do and D National University of Education in Gyeongsangbuk-do. Participants engaged in traditional Korean music appreciation education and concert attendance, and data were collected through an online survey. Descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, and paired-sample t-tests were performed to compare pre- and post-test results. First, the findings revealed that traditional Korean music concert appreciation education had a significant effect on improving pre-service elementary school teachers' musical sensitivity. Second, among the detailed factors analyzed, "understanding ability" showed a significant increase of 0.72 points after education, indicating that music appreciation education effectively enhances learners' comprehension of musical concepts. However, "receptiveness" and "applicability" exhibited only slight increases, with no statistically significant differences, suggesting limitations in fostering emotional immersion and real-life application. Third, in terms of ranking among musical sensitivity factors, appreciation education contributed most effectively to enhancing the ability to understand musical concepts, with this factor showing the highest increase in mean scores. This study provides empirical evidence on the effectiveness of traditional Korean music concert appreciation education and highlights the impact of offline music appreciation activities on musical sensitivity. Furthermore, it suggests the need to expand appreciation opportunities through digital media and implement broader educational support for the practical application of music appreciation beyond traditional concert settings.
