국문 초록

본 연구에서는 PISA 2022에 참여한 우리나라 중고등학생을 대상으로 창의적 사고에 영향을 미치는 학생과 학교 요인을 종합적으로 탐색하기 위해 위계선형모형(HLM) 분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생의 배경 요인 중 여학생일수록 그리고 사회경제적 지위(SES)가 높을수록 창의적 사고가 높았다. 또한 동기 요인인 호기심, 상상력, 수학 학습의 적극성이 높을수록 창의적 사고가 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 반면, 인내심과 수학 선호도에 따른 창의적 사고의 차이는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 둘째, 학교 요인 분석 결과, 창의적 학교 풍토가 높을수록 그리고 교사-학생 관계가 긍정적일수록 창의적 사고가 높았으나 학교 자율성에 따른 창의적 사고의 차이는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 연구에서는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 학생과 학교 차원에서 창의적 사고를 향상시키기 위한 교육적 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study examines the factors influencing creative thinking among middle and high school students in South Korea. Specifically, it investigates the effects of student- and school-level characteristics on fostering creative thinking. Using data from PISA 2022, a hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) analysis was conducted. The findings are as follows. First, among student background factors, being female and having a higher socioeconomic status (SES) were associated with higher levels of creative thinking. In terms of motivational factors, curiosity, imagination, and active engagement in mathematics learning positively influenced students’ creative thinking. However, perseverance and a preference for mathematics did not show statistically significant effects. Second, at the school level, a more creative school climate was associated with a higher level of creative thinking. Additionally, positive teacher-student relationships contributed to an increase in students’ creative thinking, whereas school autonomy did not show a statistically significant relationship. Based on these findings, the study discusses educational implications for enhancing creative thinking at both the student and school levels.
