전문대학생의 효과적인 학습 전략, 선호 및 활용에 대한 인식 탐색

국문 초록

이 연구는 전문대학생들이 효과적인 학습전략을 어떻게 인지하고 있는지, 효과적인 학습전략과 비효과적인 학습전략 중 어떠한 학습전략을 선호하는지, 그리고 학습전략을 어떻게 활용하는지를 객관적으로 살펴보기 위함에 있다. 이를 위하여 전라남도 S시 소재의 전문대학생 216명을 대상으로 연구를 실시하였다. 먼저 학습전략의 효과성 확인을 위하여 가상 시나리오를 제작하고, 참가자들에게 이 중 자신이 생각하는 효과적인 학습법과 선호하는 학습법을 선택하도록 하였다. 그 결과 전문대학생들은 7가지 효과적인 학습전략 모두를 효과적이라고 인지하고 있으나, 선호하는 전략 중 일부는 비효과적인 전략(재학습, 묶음학습, 제공학습)을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이들의 학습전략 인식과 실제 메타인지에 대한 활용성에서도 유의한 결과가 나타났다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 결과들을 중심으로 전문대학생들에게 어떠한 학습지원을 해주어야 할 것인지에 대한 함의점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to objectively examine how vocational college students perceive effective learning strategies, which strategies—among both effective and ineffective ones—they prefer, and how they actually utilize these strategies. To achieve this, a survey was conducted with 216 students attending a vocational college located in S city, Jeollanam-do, South Korea. To assess the perceived effectiveness of learning strategies, hypothetical scenarios were created, and participants were asked to select the strategies they considered effective as well as those they preferred. The results revealed that while students recognized all seven effective learning strategies as effective, some of their preferred strategies were actually ineffective ones—such as rereading, massed practice, and provided learning. Furthermore, significant findings emerged regarding the relationship between students’ recognition of learning strategies and their actual use of metacognitive strategies. Based on these findings, the study offers implications for how learning support should be provided to vocational college students.
