WICS 모형기반 초등학생의 지혜 신장을 위한 인지적 조합요인의 재조명

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 교육과정 재구성 측면에서, WICS 모형기반, 지혜를 신장하는 인지적 조합요인의 예측력을 조사하는 것이다. 이에, 본 연구는 인지적 조합요인 척도(Operation Houndstooth: Co-Cognitive Factors, Renzulli, Sytsma, & Berman, 2002)를 초등학생의 인지 수준에 부합하도록 수정 및 보완한 후, 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하고, 도출된 6개 하위요인과 WICS 모형기반 지혜 2개 하위요인(이미순, 2024)을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서, 초등학생(n= 2,963)의 성과 학년(4, 5, 6학년)에 따른 WICS 모형기반 지혜와 인지적 조합요인의 차이를 조사하기 위해 다변량 분산분석을 실시한 결과, 성과 학년의 상호작용에 따른 WICS 모형기반 지혜와 인지적 조합요인으로 이뤄진 조합된 평균의 차이는 유의하지 않았다. 이에 비해, 초등학생의 성 그리고 학년에 따른 차이는 유의하여, 이후 단변량 분산분석과 Turkey 사후 검증을 실시하였다. 그리고 본 연구는 중다회귀분석을 실시하여, WICS 모형기반 지혜에 대한 인지적 조합요인의 예측력을 조사하였다. 그 결과, WICS 모형기반 지혜 중 추론 능력에 대한 주제 및 학문 분야에 대한 애정, 신체적/정신적 에너지, 용기, 그리고 운명에 대한 비전과 인식의 예측력이 나타났다. 또한 낙관주의, 인간 관심사에 대한 민감성, 신체적/정신적 에너지, 그리고 운명에 대한 비전과 인식에서 WICS 모형기반 지혜의 현명함에 대한 예측력이 나타났다. 이에, 본 연구는 연구 결과를 논의하고, 초등학생의 지혜를 신장하기 위한 교육과정 재구성 방안을 인지적 조합요인 측면에서 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the predictive power of co-cognitive factors based on the WICS model in enhancing wisdom in terms of curriculum reconstruction. Accordingly, this study modified and supplemented the Operation Houndstooth: Co-Cognitive Factors(Renzulli, Sytsma, & Berman, 2002) to correspond the cognitive level of elementary school students and conducted an exploratory factor analysis. This study analyzed six sub co-cognitive factors and two wisdom factors based on WICS model(Lee, 2024). A multivariate analysis of variance was conducted to investigate the differences in WICS-based wisdom and co-cogntive factors according to gender and grade(4th, 5th, and 6th grade) of elementary school students(n= 2,963). The results showed that the combined mean differences in WICS-based wisdom and co-cognitive factors by the interaction effect of gender and grade were not significant. However, the combined mean differences by each effect of gender and grade were significant, and then this study analyzed the univariate analysis of variance and Tukey’s post-hoc test. Additionally, multiple regression analysis was conducted to investigate the predictive power of co-cognitive factors on WICS-based wisdom. The results showed that romance with a topic or discipline, physical/mental energy, courage, and vision/sense of destiny were predictors of reasoning ability in WICS-based wisdom. Furthermore, optimism, sensitivity to human concerns, physical/mental energy, and vision/sense of destiny were predictors of sagacity in WICS-based wisdom. Based on these findings, the study discussed curriculum reconstruction strategies to enhance the wisdom of elementary school students from the perspective of co-cognitive factors.
