국문 초록

본 연구는 2022 개정 초등 체육과 교육과정에 대한 교사의 인식과 요구를 분석하여 교육과정의 성공적 실행을 위한 개선 방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 J 지역 내 초등학교 교사 및 체육 전담 교사 8명을 대상으로 설문조사와 심층 면담(Focus Group Interview; 초점 집단면담)을 하였으며, 자료 분석은 귀납적 분석 방법을 활용하였다. 연구 결과 연구 참여자는 개정 교육과정의 목표와 방향성에 대해 긍정적으로 평가하였으나, 교육과정 실행 과정에서 다음과 같은 문제점을 지적하였다. 첫째, 교육과정 목표와 실행 간의 간극이 존재하여, 구체적 실행 방안과 지원이 부족하다고 응답하였다. 둘째, 디지털 기술을 활용한 체육 수업 환경이 열악하여 에듀테크 시설 또는 기자재 개선이 시급한 것으로 나타났다. 특히 농･산 어촌 지역에서는 체육 시설 또는 도구 부족이 교육의 형평성을 저해하는 중요 요인으로 작용하고 있었다. 셋째, 교사 연수 부족으로 인해 개정 교육과정을 효과적으로 운영할 수 있는 역량 강화의 필요성이 대두되었다. 특히 비전담 교사들은 체육교육 전문성을 기르기 위한 맞춤형 연수를 요구하였다. 넷째, 수행 평가와 과정 중심 평가의 기준이 모호하고, 학생의 신체 능력 차이를 반영하기 어렵다는 점에서 평가 체계 개선의 필요성이 강조되었다. 다섯째, 행정적 지원이 부족하고, 과도한 업무 부담이 체육 수업 운영에 부정적인 영향을 미치고 있다는 점도 주요 문제로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 교육과정 목표와 실행 간 간극을 해소하기 위한 세부 실행 가이드 개발, 체육 환경 개선을 위한 지역 맞춤형 지원, 실습 중심의 교사 연수 강화, 평가 체계의 명확화와 다양화, 행정적 지원체계 구축을 제안하였다. 특히 교사의 인식과 요구를 반영한 개선 방안은 체육교육의 질적 향상과 지역 간 교육 형평성을 높이는 데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze teachers' perceptions and demands for the 2022 revised elementary physical education curriculum and seek improvement measures for successful implementation of the curriculum. For this purpose, a survey and in-depth interviews were conducted with 12 elementary school teachers and physical education teachers in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, and an inductive analysis method was used to analyze the data. As a result of the study, the research participants positively evaluated the goals and direction of the revised curriculum, but pointed out the following problems in the curriculum implementation process. First, they responded that there was a gap between curriculum goals and implementation, and that there was a lack of specific implementation plans and support. Second, the physical education class environment was poor, so improvement of books and equipment was found to be urgent. In particular, in rural, mountainous and fishing villages, the lack of sports facilities was an important factor hindering the fairness of education. Third, due to the lack of teacher research, the need to strengthen capacity to effectively operate the revised curriculum emerged. In particular, non-major teachers requested customized training to develop expertise in physical education. Fourth, the need to improve the evaluation system was emphasized because the standards for performance evaluation and course evaluation were ambiguous and difficult to reflect differences in students' physical abilities. Fifth, lack of administrative support and excessive workload, which had a negative impact on the operation of physical education classes, were also found to be major problems.Based on these results, this study provides detailed implementation guidelines to resolve the gap between curriculum goals and implementation, customized support for each region to improve the physical education environment, strengthening practice-oriented teacher training, clarifying and diversifying the evaluation system, administrative support, etc. was developed. I proposed building a system. In particular, improvement plans that reflect teachers' perceptions and needs are expected to contribute to improving the quality of physical education and enhancing educational equity between regions.
