유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 우울과 양육스트레스 사이의 관계에 대한 단기종단연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 우울과 양육스트레스가 시간의 경과에 따라 안정적으로 지속되는지를 밝히고, 이 두 변인 간의 인과관계를 종단적으로 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 육아정책연구소의 한국아동패널자료 4차～6차년도까지의 자료를 자기회귀교차지연모형을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 세 시점에 걸쳐 두 변인의 자기회귀계수를 측정한 결과, 이전 시점의 아버지의 우울과 양육스트레스는 각각 이후 시점의 우울과 양육스트레스에 유의하게 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아버지의 우울과 양육스트레스의 교차회귀계수를 측정한 결과, 이전 시점의 아버지의 우울은 이후 시점의 양육스트레스에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났으며, 이전 시점의 양육스트레스는 이후 시점의 우울에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 아버지의 우울 및 양육스트레스를 감소시키기 위한 지원방안을 논의하고 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the systematic relationship between a father’s depression and parenting stress. Autoregressive Cross-lagged model(ARCL) was used to measure the longitudinal relationship between a father’s depression and parenting stress. Three waves(2011-2013) of data from the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education were analyzed in this study. The findings of the current study were as follows. Frist, the depression of a father and parenting stress had no significant effect on the subsequent depression of a father and parenting stress, respectively. Second, there was no longitudinal reciprocal relationship between the depression of a father and parenting stress. However, previous parenting stress of a father had an impact on the subsequent depression experienced by a father. The implication derived from the results, discussion on the reciprocal relationship between the depression of a father and parenting stress are presented.
